Earth Day April 22, 2022

Today is global Earth Day, an occasion dedicated to showing support for environmental protection, and we’d like to put a spotlight on Ramsay Health Care.
This frontline healthcare provider is committed to the environment with a pledge to remove 50 million plastic items from landfills by the end of 2022 (that's equivalent to over 15,695 6-foot plastic Christmas trees!)
With the overwhelming support of their staff and patients, the initiative kicked off by removing plastic cutlery and drinking bottles. Ramsay Health Care sites then replaced their single-use plastic medical consumables with Compostable Medical Trays and Paper Pill and Medicine Cups from Haines® Medical Australia, diverting a whopping 56,818kg (almost 57 tonnes) of single use plastic waste from landfills and oceans.
