The wild ones went to Woodstock. The unlucky ones went to Vietnam. The ones who didn’t knew where they were going, I think they went to Broadmore or whatever the psychiatric hospital is called. And state hospitals are a lot better than private hospitals. At least we got to work, get paychecks, and shop. Private hospital is when you might never leave. My uncle is a Vietnam veteran. He’s great.

Where have all the flower children gone? We didn't dance, at least not quite like that! but we did sit and make daisy chains or play a guitar etc. What happened to my friends I wonder...different roads and paths. When I was very young I yearned to be a Gypsy, a people I have great respect for, but alas, no, a bourgeois child...but several years later, enter these people, children of the sun, it was karmic grace- THE HIPPIES and I got to become the best I ever was!
