Especially for vegans who like to travel with just carry-on, Lush is a lifesaver. Just in case someone's not familiar with Lush, they have so much more solid products than just soaps.

They're also in oh so many countries, so if you don't know the language, you can just look for the names. This saved my life in Japan, when I didn't know how to say things like shampoo, conditioner, etc. I just found products at Lush and could check what they were online! Oh, and you can keep the containers for other products you have. I put my coconut oil in one of my old Luch facemask containers, and it's much smaller and better for traveling. Also, you can use your blotting paper on your hair roots if it's a bit oily. Saves my life.

Tea tree oil! It's great for putting on pimples and disinfecting cuts or grazes.

Lol I'm here to dispel the coconut oil hype: - coconut oil is comedogenic, which means it clogs your pores and can cause acne and bad skin. Don't use it as a facial moisturiser! - it's a very good makeup remover though! But make sure to wash it off properly - coconut oil also takes a VERY long time to absorb into the skin so using it as a body moisturiser is also useless. I tried it for a week and at the end my skin was very dry as the oil barely did anything and was too easily rubbed off - as a lip balm it's fairly useless cos it's very easy to rub off and takes too long to absorb, which means you'll have maybe half an hour before your lips are dry again - it DOES work for dandruff though! Massage it into your scalp and sleep with it in and then wash it out (ha poor at least twice to get it all out) - cooking anything with it will mean your food will taste very coconut-y, so it doesn't work for savoury foods, desserts are good though, my mum uses it in her cookies

Shampoo at least twice**

AliceRoared I don't know if you'll see this or not, but as far as the coconut oil as moisturizer: it's meant to do right after you get after out of the shower, while your pores are still open. Use coconut oil when your body is still damp and your skin will absorb it with the water! I swear by it. 😊

Cushion foundation are great for travel too... And intime gel cleaner is a good multitasking product... You can wash your face with it because the pH is more appropriate for the skin, you can use it as gel shower or even shampoo... And of course you can use it for your intimate parts. Conditioner is good as shaving cream too

instead of deodorant, I used bicarbonate of soda (mixed with a tiny bit of talc to soften it) and then use solid perfume on my wrists and neck. The bicarbonate could be used to take the smell away from clothes too and to clean other things and could be a dry shampoo. Also: DRINK MORE WATER. Does wonders:)

Lavender essential oil is more effective on burns than even aloe! You can apply straight to any kind of burn, but with all over sunburn it's good to mix a few drops with coconut oil(or any fatty oil). You can also mix it it with aloe and coconut oil for an extra punch! Make sure not to get an adulterated essential oil though, because those can be cut with chemicals.

Great tips! I personally cannot leave without Vaseline. I guess it does many of the same tricks as coconut oil. I use it as a lip, hand, and feet moisturiser, and it's great for burns! Also, BabyOil is AMAZING for removing makeup. The most affordable makeup remover you will ever find. Regular dry shampoos or Baby Powder don't work for me because I have dark hair. I don't know if I've tried putting too much or whatnot, but I found that it leaves white streaks at times, making me look like I had dandruff! Anyways, I though Dry Shampoo was not for me UNTIL I found tinted DryShampoo. I now can't live without it

Speaking of hacks, I've been using oatmeal+honey as cleanser/facemask of sort then apple cider as toner. The thing is, I didn't bring enough of both during my travel but I used it immediately to my sunburn+breakouts+allergy(I do have eczema). I realized that aloe vera is alright for immediate relief but abovementioned combination is much better :) Effectiveness can be seen after 4 to 5 days to a week :

For sunburns, I find that plain yogurt works best. Although, this is not always readily available when you're travelling... I've used the aloe vera and moisturiser combo in the past and it always took a few days for the redness to subside, not to mention the itchy and irritated skin for at least a week. But with yogurt, the redness and tan lines were pretty much gone by the second day, and my skin felt so calm and cool. And the best part, no reverse panda eyes (coz I'm always in specs/sunnies/goggles)!

I'd like to see how much space all your travel toiletries/makeup/meds/etc take. Cos it all sounds awesome and I bet all of these are hella useful but it all takes precious space. I usually travel with only a carry-on and if you add all the more conventional i.e. non-hack-y supplies like shampoo, soap, tissues, wet wipes, pads, etc, not to mention the actual clothes, I'm afraid it'd take a LOT of space

Mineral foundation is the BEST when doing a trip! : it's weightless, you can get a decent coverage and it doesn't break you out. :) Think of this: during the summertime you sweat (A LOT) and you don't want your poor pores to be clogged from makeup and dirt.

red wine and walnuts help with sunburn. I learnt this travelling around Moldova, they'd give it to the Soviet astronauts and I certainly felt a lot better after visiting a couple of wineries. Tinted moisturizers and suncreams are actually not as good as they seem. Moisturizers are designed to go deep down into the layers of your skin so if you have foundation going down that far then it's really not very good for your skin

I think the toothpaste one is not very a true hack. Toothpaste will cause more inflammation and irritate your skin. If you have the acne problem before you should bring all your meds with you or if it happening while traveling (acne crisis) you may avoid touching them or stop using the products you're using or ask the local pharmacy if they have any advice.
