Since this video was talking about dying without bleach, I was noting that without bleach, my hair won't hold anything at all. It'll remain black.

The problem is it’s so difficult to get out of your hair. I dyed my brown hair this colour almost a year ago and it’s still in my hair and it looks weird with my new roots coming in. I also dyed my hair dark purple a couple years ago and it took only about 2 months to fully disappear.

depends on the dye you use, the first time i did mine it took abt 40 days to be completely gone, the most recent time i’ve dyed it was 3 years ago and it still hasn’t come out.

That'd only happen with a chemical dye, maybe even with lightener etc mixed in Basically not a semi permanent non chemical reaction based red dye on natural hair, which should wash out eventually Vs a chemical reaction based dye that causes the pigment particles to expand once inside of the hair's shaft so it doesn't wash back out like semi

I dyed my hair red when I was 15, it would take in heat excessively under the sun (I noticed even though my natural hair color is black which should heat up more lol) so I dyed it back to black. Black lasted for like 15 days and then it became copper, slightly brown. I had to let it grow out lol. Finally after 10 years is back to normal 😂.

I dyed my hair bright red for about 2.5 years. Started dyeing it black around 2015... I still have traces of red everywhere once the black pigment gets a bit washed out. My hair is still black, but in direct light you can see reddish-orange poking through. Impossible to get out. So if you wanna dye your hair red, keep this in mind.

You have to be real careful picking the right shade of red. I have medium brown hair and picked up Manic Panic's "Vampire Red" I ended up with bright red velvet hair for about 6 months.

Red is a good color to dye hair, but it takes a LOT to get it out like it stains your hair. You'll need to bleach it and dye it again to get rid of it, but not necessarily you can do it other ways that I don't know of🙂

My natural hair color is dark brown, but last month I got it dyed at the salon. I chose an auburn/red shade that is very similar to the one in the video. I'm a Latina with tan skin with a warm undertone. I'm pretty sure autumn is my season. I would suggest that you watch some videos about undertones and seasons so you can figure out which one you are. Then, you can use that to figure out which hair colors would suit you best. Always make sure to choose a color that is either darker or lighter (ideally darker) than your skin color, never choose a color that is the same shade or value. Remember that you can't go lighter without using bleach. If you have dark hair and dye your hair without bleach, it will turn out darker than you expect. Depending on your hair type, it might not show up at all. I was satisfied with my results, but you may not be.

If it’s temporary it won’t lighten though, which might work for someone with blonde/brown hair but someone with black hair would need permanent hair dye for it to lift without bleaching.

@@wonyoungontop if it has peroxide it can only lighten a smidgen but typically on people w lighter hair, some temp dyes have peroxide some don’t. The ones that don’t are near impossible to lighten hair with.

Only get this if you know you’re not dying it any other color soon. Butttt on the contrary, you can add other colors on top of it to make diff colors. For example, you can dye it blue to have purple hair. You can’t have blue hair though.

Yes ! My mom did it and it was beautiful especially because she did it on her ends and she has black hair.
