Lauren, what I love about the belle tress toppers is the beautiful rooted brunette shades. It's the reason I switched from Jon Renau. I had been using your liquid eyeliner technique to add roots to my Jon Renau pieces but ultimately just love the natural look of the rooted browns. I know you've attended a few Jon Renau events and just wondered if this has ever come up. I desperately wish Jon Renau would add some shaded options to their brunettes. Especially the ones with highlights!

I think this one. Hope is pretty, but the highlights can come off as slightly stripey. This is soooo natural looking!

Yes, so great that this comes in 14". I messed up when I said 12", but did put it in the description. Of course, this is 18", but since most other toppers come in 12" this is a good option in their other size of 14".

I have been through 6 of the bt top wave and 4/6 have started shedding within 3-6 wks...and the ends feel fried by the 5-10th wear..wondering if it's because of the wave, and maybe trying this one here since its straight'....sigh..lol

The ends starting to feel icky is pretty normal - I need to do some heavy duty conditioning each time I wash to keep my pieces looking nice. But the shedding is not very normal...especially for a piece that, given the wave, you probably aren't brushing through too often. That's weird!

I wad thinking same.Just bought another off eBay, New,...the ends are fried right out of box and shedding with JR black wide comb..but, mostly finger comb ad issuing standard comb, really comes out...if you haven't already, maybe try this piece in the wave and see what you get..because it it lighter and feels better than the Jr top wave...do note I have 2 that went dozens of wear with limited/normal, small minimal shedding..but even the one just shipped to us last week is shedding like crazy...sigh..I should do a review of ALL the hair in the sink just finger combing...uh

Hi Lauren how has the BelleTress Topper held up for you? We hear conflicting things about the fibers and am wondering what your opinion is. I mostly use my toppers for updos and don't want the fibers to be damage by styling in this way. Also, how do you feel about the dark roots and mediocre lace front that people sometimes talk about in the BellTress line. Do you prefer Jean Renau 10h16 over the mocha with cream? Thanks for any advice you can give!!

I haven't given my BT pieces enough wear to make a true assessment. I do prefer the JR because you can see the band between the lace and scalp on the BT. Plus, JR has a double mono top.

Hi Lauren! I have a Belle Tress wig (or 2) and the color is stunning! (Chocolate with caramel) There's a thick strip between the lace and the mono top, which I noticed is also on your topper. It shows through the hair because of the width and material. I had the exact same wig previously which had a thin strip and didn't show. Do you have any suggestions to hide it? Changing the part isn't the answer and I've tried dark matte eyeshadow.

Lauren, have you noticed that the density is much less on the top right vs top left? I'm a right side part girl and I've had to adjust my part because apparently, according to belle tress, this piece is meant to be parted on the left. When I part on the right, it's so sparse that it looks like thinning scalp! It looks like you had it parted on the right so just wanted to see if you noticed this as well.

Most are too drab,blond,brown etr.vmu poor hairdresser spent eons of time trying to get the purple undertones out of a piece that had been specifically designed for me. Let's explore why it didn't help. Any glue will do what the Got2B does. My guess is it didn't stick well?

Gotcha! So, assuming you are using it on the top of your head (it won't stick too well on the sides), usually this happens when it's not left "out in the open" for awhile. I generally put a blob on, and then let it sit out while I do my makeup for about 10 minutes. Then it sticks much better!! I also used this on a smooth surface. A polyurethane rim or usually I stick packing tape to the poly rim to make a greater surface area for it.

SOPHIA I use the got to be glue on the hot and or windy days..I use just a thick but tiny dab on a small separate surface, dab a bit of it using end of one of my makeup brushes,and then rub it on to the smooth edge of unit, then must important part,I hit with blow dryer on low, almost to just sticky tacky feel, then I use my makeup brush to dab again, repeat around cap..that is key, just use area around cap to add glue but glue must be at least 75-80%+_ dry before sealing down cap!!

I have the wavy topper in Champagne and Apple Pie. For the most part I like it. DO you get a bump at the top with your topper, almost into a cone shape at the top from the mono filament base?
