Some people are just happy to have their hair done and looking good than concerned of losing more hair because they already know hair transformation is the only way for them. Just like some people cover up their face with makeup to hide certain appearances. At the end of the day it's what makes you happy with yourself. Love the outcome of this style.

If you have to do faux edges because you’re thinning or bald, it’s best to not add any tension. Thread, glue, and braids should not touch the hairline. Massage castor oil in the balding areas, moisturize daily and wear wigs or scarves while using silk fabric to protect hairline. The stylist did an awesome job.

It looks awesome, but I think wearing a wig for a few months should have been recommended so that her hair can rest and start to grow back. She still has some hair around the edges, so it's possible that those hairs can still grow. And when she starts to get her hair braided again, she should remember the golden rule: if you can't smile without it hurting, then the braided is braiding your hair too tight, and you need to ask them to rebrand that hair.

Amazing, and not surprised African people have talent in their hands, However maybe if this woman would stop all the braiding, her traction alopecia would stop. It's not just tight braids, for some it's any type of tension on the scalp. My dermatologist said that some scalps can't take any tension, and you can see the tension on the back of her head. This is absolutely beautiful, but I fear this woman may be bald soon if she doesn't stop the braiding all together and allow her scalp to rest and reset!
@cherieharris2053

I wouldn't add that much tension to thinning/balding problem areas. I'd take advice from expert that suggested treating troubled area with Castor Oil, etc etc. Good job on giving client a style. Bringing a smile on her face & also to her heart 💜💜💜💜💜! Peace ✌️ N Love 💖😘

I'd never put that much tension on my hairline. Ive had damage and now I don't. It takes time plus care but your be scalp can heal. Even in situations where the follicles are permanently damaged and coverage/ camouflaging is the goal,, less stressful ways are better, before more hair is lost. Ask that said, she is extremely talented. Learning ways to naturally care for our hair as well as camouflaging damage without further damage is the best option I think.

To me her own hair is extremely thin and appears to be blown dry straight. ( heat damage over time. Edges nonexistent (over time causing tension alopecia .) She looks rather young. We all have to take care of our natral hair giving it a rest from braids or blow drying. Our natral hair is beautiful and can be worn in so many ways that won't be damaging to our natural hair. This lady is talented as well.

Omg....no that is terrible. Very terrible. So wrong on so many levels 😕 😩😩😭 On the other hand, I suppose if the damage is already done and can't be reversed some people don't have a choice but to deal with this torture to have this style which I think is not worth the continued torture. That's just insane. Nothing wrong with bald and beautiful.

@@loverainthunder I think the person is saying it's torture because everything is so tight. The pulling, the lack of air to the scalp etc. I have braids and they're always tight if you want them to look neat. I think that's the reason for the concern.

Massage caster oil into your edges twice a week. Take a multivitamin without iron after breakfast and then take biotin after dinner to grow it back. Make sure they don’t pull too tight when braiding. Update: once a month do a deep conditioning made of one whole egg mixed in a cholesterol Conditoner. Leave on hair and scalp 30 minutes with plastic cap while sitting under hair dryer. The vitamins and minerals from the egg feeds the hair root.
