100% true … I had a FUT done and now my crown is stretched and looks very thin… also the FUT can be done by all the technicians, so the Doctor will spend 30 minutes only to cut and stitch the strip from the back of the head … it’s a huge business where doctors are misleading the patients knowing their emotional weaknesses. I still regret my FUT transplant from the one of the worlds best FUT surgeon in US. It’s not a big scar but there was lot of shock loss and I lost all my hair below the scar. Had to do micropigmentaion and 4 fue procedures and still planning to do 1 more..also in FUE, in my experience results of direct hair transplant ( or real time) was far better than the other one .

You changed my whole prospective about Fut+Fue procedure. Sir from one of your videos on body hair apart from Beard hair, the life cycle of Other body hair is very low. So how can we rely on them instead of going for FUT ? and FUE is kind of blind procedure so it may cut the roots of adjacent hair also???

FUE may be a bling procedure but the transection rates are still lower than FUT. The grafts that get cut in FUE will still grow back since they have been cut in the body (in vivo). On the other hand the grafts of FUT are dissected after the strip has been removed. The grafts that get cut go to the waste bin. Another thing telogen phase grafts in the strip are just thrown away. And they are 20%! The life cycle of body hair from chest may be 0ne year, for other parts 2-3 years but that from upper neck and shadow area beard matches that of scalp hair. And the last source is most commonly used. Very few need to go to other areas of the body for body graft harvest.

Doctor can you please talk about Telogen effluvium that can caused by hair transplant ? I.e shock loss and how long will it repair , as it can give a moth like appearance in some patients. As it happened to me my doctors said it will recovery in couple of months , i really hope so , i thought it was over harvesting in one area at first and thought it will never grow back . Hai doc nice video. Doc i am 22 yrs old since the past 4 years i am observing my hair loss deeply . iam balding and taking meds ( minoxidil, dermarolling ) soon i will add fin too. I shed hairs from everywhere of my scalp its normal can be a part of normal hair cycle. I shed hairs from donor area also the thing which is concerning me the most is i do shed 15 - 20 fine hairs ( all thin small weak baby hairs ). This type of shedding started some years back. I cheak my donor area recently with my doctor he said my donor area is healthy. But this thin hair shedding is making me sad and confused is this an early indicator that my donor area will became thin and this thin hair shedding from donor area a warning sign or this is normal. I hope u understand my concern and iam expecting a response.. Have a nice day bhatti sir
