F A D E D C U L T U R E.
Scissor trim steps:
-start at crown, grab finger width section, pull up to about 2 fingers or desired length and trim.
-repeat all the way to front
-angle sides to 45 degrees to create fohawk shape
Fading Steps:
Debulk hair with #3.5 shape out mohawk
1st step, guideline with sub-zero (around the ear)
2nd step, guideline with .5 (no guard lever open)
3rd step, guideline 1.5
4th step, 2.5 blend up
5th step, 3.5 blend up
6th step, blend out top guideline w/ 1.5 guard open to 3 qtr
7th step, blend second guideline w/ .5 guard open to 3 qtr
8th step, continue blending second guideline w/ 1 guard open to 3 qtr
9th step, blend first guideline w zero, lever closed
10th step, open lever half way, continue blending
11th step, continue blending with lever fully open
12th step, do any touch up work
13th step, use trimmers to take out bottom hair
14th step, use electric shaver
15th step, add texture by point cutting with clippers
16th step, apply product and style

I can’t wait to try out the mohawk/fohawk fade with a lineup shave on the side Monday morning.. I’ve been growing my hair for over a month. I have a big afro. I haven’t had this much hair in YEARS before I started working. I used to rock on a low fade with a line up with designs all over my head. I brought sexy back with the designs. Now I’m going to bring back the mohawk back since I’m the haircut model at work haha. I am a fan of haircuts. It’s an honor leaving you this post.

How effective would you say opening the clipper 3/4 takes out the guidelines? I been cutting for a few months and some times I still get confused with lever playing especially doing the “open, halfway, closed” method.

For me it seems to do the job bro, but depending on the hair type I will close it or open it a tad bit till i get them guidelines out. But yes it’s all about getting familiar with lever play. But for the most part lever opened to 3/4 always is a good starting point
