I just call this a pony tail cut ✂️. Didn't realize I had been giving myself a wolf cut all these years. I have naturally curly hair and I think that's probably the best hair type to do this with. Do it wet scrunch it dry with your fave curly hair product. Beautifully layered without much length loss every single time.

Yep, almost exactly what I just posted :) The first time I saw "wolfcut" I was like what? That's the ponytail cut, been doing it since the 80's. Definitely works best on curly hair. Just did it again about a month ago, took off about 15 inches. My a/c in my car went out, and when I got to work it was wild.

I've done "wolfcuts" on myself for decades. About every 7 years I just chop off all my hair. More recently, about a month ago when I cut off 15 inches and am now rocking the "disco look" according to my 16 year old. But I'm lucky, the shorter my hair gets the wavier-curlier it is. So it helps to hide any imperfections. I'd suggest people with straight hair just forego the wolfcuts or get it done professionally if you want layers.

I went to the hairdressers recently and told them I wanted a trim for my bangs as they'd grown to about the tip of my nose. Told them I want them to sit just above my eyebrows. She cut them as short as the girl at 6:39 did. I was not happy and it's been about a month. I have curly hair and that made the mess even shorter so now I have to clip them to the side because I cannot possibly style them as bangs. They look as if a kid had chopped them off in my sleep. edit: she also cut them wet and pulled them straight so really just another reason never to go back.

It's so hard to find good stylists who actually know how to work with curly hair. Id always end up just fixing whatever they messed up myself at home rather than going back for them to butcher it all over again 🤦🏻‍♀️ now i go to salons with predominantly black stylists and clientele as they actually understand how curls work and how to care for, cut, and style it right the first time!

1:53 - that happened because she didn't comb her hair out properly before she cut it. She probably had lumps and bumps at her scalp. We all know when we get lumps in our ponytail they stick out in little chunky loops. All those little loops that she had by her scalp showed in the layers after she cut it. This is why it's important to brush your hair from the scalp all the way down so that the hairs are lying completely flush against your head without any lumps.

I had something similar happen as with the 1st lady with the wolf cut. I didn't cut in 100% straight line & didn't blend it in at all and ended up with those steps. So I did it again & over directed into a single ponytail 5x,slowly sectioning & going up my head (idk if I make sense). After each cut I made sure I took off the same amount & point cut after doing the initial cut (I have dense hair) in order to blend it in. Took me like 2 hours to fix my mistake but my hair looked good & I didn't take a whole lot of length off either.

when i was little, and my mom had to trim my bangs; she would put a piece of scotch tape across my bangs and then cut along the bottom of the tape line so that it would be straight. because i had a huge cowlick in the middle of my bangs and i was a wiggly kid. XD

If you can afford it, get your hair cut at a salon. If not, search KZbin for Brad's instructional videos on how to cut hair. Tip: curly or wavy hair is hard to cut. You can feel more confident if your hair is straight. Get a buddy to follow the video with you and make sure you are following all the steps.
