The first time I got a bob from waist length hair, I got asked if I was wearing a wig😅. I guess it was kind of a compliment, because apparently my hair looked so perfect, shiny, and structured with a blowout that it looked fake.

i’m a round faced girl with big cheeks and i’ll never forget going to the hairdressers and showing them pictures of the hair i wanted. it was just past the shoulders, lots of layers and a curtain bang, kind of like a wolf cut look. i left the hairdressers with hair up to my chin and a fringe above my eyebrows 😂it was so BAD. they gave me my money back and admitted they f’d up but it was too late my hair was botched. i’ve never cut it since. short hair isn’t for everyone but when it works it looks nice. didn’t look nice on me though lol

I had to chop my hair because of thyroid issues creating bald spots and so much breakage. The years it took to grow that back out were ROUGH. Short hair isn't for everyone is so true. It made my long face even longer. I felt like a horse.

I had the exact same thing happen when I was 14. THANKFULLY no photos exist of that to my knowledge. I looked like a shrub. That was the last time I let a hairdresser near my hear with scissors (there was a dying years after that but I wasn't really happy with the result because again he did what HE wanted not what I wanted)

Omg this reminds me of what happened to me as a teen. I went to a local hair salon that had a good reputation at the time and wanted essentially the same thing as you. THE POWER WENT OUT MID-HAIRCUT AND THE STYLIST KEPT GOING. We couldn't dry or style the hair, so obviously I didn't really get to see how it looked. I paid almost $200 at the end of it all, which is by far the most I've ever paid for a basic haircut and that was about 15 years ago. When I got home and styled it, I looked like a combo of Peppermint Patty and He-man. My mom was furious obviously as I was justifiably upset by this, so she called the salon and they REFUSED to give us a refund, saying that I "had liked it when I left the salon." I'm sure I was trying to be understanding after the power went out, and what else do you say when you're a teen and you've just gotten the worst haircut you've ever had and you don't even know it yet? I wore my hair in a ponytail every day for 6 months in highschool after that haircut. That salon closed several years later and I was glad to see them go.

This is divine timing because I literally just got a chin length bob haircut a few days ago and I’m a new woman now. It’s my favorite hair length on me because I do have a longer oval/oblong face shape and I love the roundness and cuteness it gives my face. Such a slay haircut! Will never get old.

Cut #2 was the winner, for sure! I've had a bob cut for years, it's my favourite cut. We change it up every so often from a shaggy or chunky bob to a longer almost-grown-out pixie cut, but with my heart-shaped face it just works for me. A couple years ago we started adding an undercut and it just makes it so much easier to manage.

@@pamelamorrisonn I had severe reflux disease so had part of my stomach removed due to damage, then during recovery I caught a stomach virus and the vomiting made my stomach herniate into My oesophagus, so I had a second surgery, the lack of eating and shock led to alopecia, which is re occurring sadly, my doctor said it can be a one time episode or recurrent, and so far it happened once completely and a second time 1/3 of my head xxx

Emily for the win! 🤩 I don’t know how on earth she pulled it off, but her hair turned out so cute and was giving off some flapper vibes. She really rocked that look! ❤ Suzy… her hair honestly didn’t look horrible after she styled it from the first cut. That was a look once but that was a look back when I was in high school and it went out of fashion a long time ago and, god willing, none of those looks will ever come back. Her friend was actually doing a good job but then the bangs happened… Laureen has that one piece on the one side near the back that sticks out that’s been driving me bat shit insane the entire cut. Get a curling iron and straighten it out to match the rest of your hair!!! Omg… And it’s just the one piece! So the only one that came away with a good cut is Emily, to be honest

People say a bob isn't good for a round face but with any longer haircut I'm defaulting to putting my hair up and it's not any more flattering, for sure lol I also cut my own hair because stylists can't be trusted with curls. I use the long sectioning clips all around the perimeter of my hair and cut above them. Luckily with curls they don't have to be perfectly even but I've never had any issue. Next time I'm trying bangs too.
