So my purple shampoo turned my roots blue 😑 I was mad at my hairdresser lol. I told myself I’ll do it myself. I went to school for hair I know enough to do my own hair. But waited to long. So now I have light blue spots, didn’t refresh my ends so they are a bright pale yellow still LOL I completely forgot to get olapex. My hair is fine to begin with. So now I plan to use the Malibu clarifying treatment, then I have Generic compared to Redken shades EQ gloss and lightest cool violet blonde 10vv. OR do a bleach bath 🛁 then use purple/blue shampoo I only have fanola if I could get Mondos purple leave in today at a store I’d just do that. I’d love some advice on which one you think is better? When I say my hair is yellow it’s lighter than his in this video. I have white hair and a paleish yellow. You know it just needs that lil push. There’s no orange tones in my hair.

Yesterday I did a bleach bath on my hair using your formula (minus the olaplex as I can't afford it right now). I was trying to get rid of some old reddish-purple permanent dye and lighten my hair at the same time. The last time I used a boxed color remover, it did nothing. This was odd because it had worked well in the past. Anyway, I used your mixture and was stunned by the results. There was barely any smell, it took only about 5 minutes to reach the lightness I was hoping for, and my hair wasn't damaged. I have dark brown hair that had some old color from early last month that barely showed up. After I washed it out and carefully detangled (with a conditioning/detangling spray), I did a deep conditioning mask just to be sure. My hair is still good and feels healthy. The only hair I lost is what normally comes out when I detangle. Forget the boxed color remover. Your formula is now my go-to when it comes to lightening my hair or removing old color. Would you ever consider doing another video like this on someone with my situation: naturally dark hair with a dark color dye over it, or has been dyed black multiple times? Might be good for people to see how effective it is on something that seems more of a challenge.
@crystalroseallen11 ай бұрын
I absolutely love your semi permanent hair dye line! I have used it 2 times and I get comments all the time. My favorite is the purple right now! I go around telling random people how much they need your hair dye in there life lol everyone is always in a hurry to try it! I could definitely be a sales girl! I love the smell of it! I love that repairs your hair. The jar is good for 2 applications! I love everything about it! I want to try all of your products now! I love this video! Really helps me get a richer purple! Yeah i agree red is terrible to get out! I look like princess ariel with my hair red! I love purple goth look at the moment! Thank you for sharing!

I hope that what I am about to type in this comment, won’t come off as if I’m intentionally trying to throw any negative vibes in your direction because that’s just not my character at all so let me just say that I do apologize in advance if anyone here ends up reading my comment who doesn’t like what I’ve written..I was just reading through the comments on Brads video but when I came across this comment it was one that I wanted to share my thoughts on..I would like to ask the person who posted their comment to which I am now commenting on, to reply back to me here if they ever see my comment. So I have been a subscriber to Brads channel for many years now and I would like to say that in my opinion, if a hair professional, especially when we’re referring to one who specializes in colouring, and one who is very knowledgeable and very experienced in specific products, as in they have used these products so many times that they have learned how to use them then they would also have a very keen eye for being able to do what needs to be done and they would be able to still get the same consistency or texture of the products they are using every time they are using it. He said that he loves the Malibu brand product that he uses in this particular video because he uses it. So I think that when he says he doesn’t like to read the directions all the time because it’s just too much reading, he doesn’t need to read through the directions and do all that reading because firstly, he’s a very successful professional in this line of work, he knows very well and long before creating this video, what he’s doing and even if he’s never read the directions before, he is still a professional at this so he would still be able to understand things much better and much easier than any random non professional or non experienced person who is one of us as you have said it. Also, I am a subscriber to Brads channel and I am not a professional in this kind of thing so that makes me just like one of us and I would like to say that I do always read through all of the directions, and I finish right to the end of them. Every time I use any kind of color product, unless I have, like Brad gained enough experience with it so that I don’t have to read them. I don’t know that Brad is suggesting that anyone else should not read the directions on chemical formula color products before using them because that’s not how professionals do things professionally. They are always following measurements and weights and they are always using their own personal preference which is maybe seeming to us to be just like an estimated guess at levels and systematic measurements but they have experience and they’ve conducted their own methods and ways to figure things out the best way for themselves. So please speak for yourself when you say that he’s just like the rest of us when he’s seeming at times that he’s just winging it on videos like this because I don’t ever chemically mess with things thinking that it’s safe, smart or funny. Your safety is important and everyone from younger ages to elderly people are all seeing these comments and it cannot be good to not shed light on the facts. It’s dangerous to not read directions hair dye, bleach, colour remover.. Completely unnecessary and all very dangerous and different directions. Brad does follow directions and measurements when he’s dealing with chemical change products that he’s not used to, and even when he’s used them before I don’t see how he would ever be a successful professional in this field and not be taking measurements if some kind or having taken the time to make sure he’s aware of what they instructed on the product documentation that the product came with before using it on a client or on himself or anyone. Just wanted to clear that up. Be careful when not following directions because for instance, try using color oops extra strength and not read the instructions and also attempt to get your colour to be blended and even and light blonde. After not following directions. It won’t work. Your colour oops cannot do as well as it would do if you don’t follow directions. That’s a fact. Try it. lol.

I got an ash and a pearl demi off of the Redken Shades EQ line and deepened the highlights a bit by mixing a level 8 with a 7. So much better toned down and neutralized. I'd love a video on how to determine what colors would look best based on your skintone, eye color, etc. Just things stylists look at when mixing custom color/toner. Not so much giving away formulas, but some more info on color theory and knowing how to look at it on ourselves. I think it'd be really helpful!

Malibu C Crystal Gel is the STUFF! This removes ALL the buildup (including minerals from hard water) and it should definitely be done before a coloring or perm service to allow the service to take better. For some people who think that their color needs to be refreshed, many times when they do the Malibu treatment, they realize that they don’t need to re-color their hair because the dulling and brassiness was caused by mineral buildup from unfiltered water.

I literally have been looking for a video where you fully explain bleach baths because I have your dye coming in a few days and need to get the turquoise out of my hair🥳

Thank you for this awesome and clear explanation of how to do a bleach bath! I successfully lifted some stubborn semi-permanent pink that wouldn’t come out no matter what I tried. Perfect solution!

Love these crystal gel packets. The ion color remover packets that are like that are also amazing, took iroiro blue right out of my hair when it turned out too dark

I really see you one half in pastel lilac and the other in pastel yellow for yow, Brad Mondo. Maybe not even the basic half and half that’s getting boring but using just those two main colors. Thanks for content of you, love when you arrange your hair boy 👍🏻💜💛

Thanks for bringing us along, it's interesting to see what you do with your hair! You definitely seem a lot happier now that its done. I'm so jealous of the bounce/body your hair gets though. Mine is just flat, no matter what I do! When it was long I would try to curl it, and the curls would come out in about 10 minutes and it'd go flat again. I just gave up and cut it short and it was great for a while, but i changed my diet to be more protein heavy since i started working out and now my hair's so thick/heavy it won't do anything again... augh!

Honestly I would try his wavetech foam if I were you! And that hair washing method where it's in a bowl and you scrunch the product through your hair. Or even one thing I've started doing is not wrapping my hair up in a towel anymore after a shower, instead I scrunch it and squeeze the water out

at 7:58 you say "i put a little olaplex in mine cuz my hairs falling off" yet at the beginning you say you can do anything to your hair cuz it never breaks off. lol
@FeminineLogos5 ай бұрын
He also said he bleached it multiple times so…

@@FeminineLogos true but then he shouldnt say it never breaks off. anyway i said it more lightheartedly laughing not meant to be like "omg hes such a liar" lol
@shoozu2 ай бұрын
Maybe it's because of the olaplex that it never breaks? And by falling off, he's exaggerating and it's just a lil dry

Thank you Brad Mondo! I NEEDED this video. I regularly change my hair color with semi permanent hair coloring and always went with advice from a Sally's employee - first color remover, then bleach; then toner. No more! Thank you for rescuing my future hair from overly harsh and unnecessary treatments...and an empty wallet. Also, I've always wondered how my fine hair could put up with all the pain and suffering I've put it through without ending up bald as a punitive punishment, so thank you for the fun fact!

i feel stupid fof thinking a bleach bath was a literal bath as in i thought a bleach bath was soaking ur hair in a bucket/tub of water mixed with bleach 💀

It's the season for hair crisises 😭 But, there are worse things. I wanted my roots bleached to match my ends which by some miracle were perfectly superhero silver like storm from X-Men. Considering my natural colour is as black as my soul and the colourist got it there I felt like I was in good hands. Until... She re bleached places that didn't need retouching which burnt off chunks, added new sections that couldn't be toned to the right colour, left my roots a different colour than my ends and toned it all down to a grey so dark it was basically black. I'm walking in to the holidays with a lost cause on my head.
