I got to meet the king bee years ago up in Merrillville working for Tony Lama boots. He came in with a gorilla at each shoulder. Bought a gorgeous pair of blue snake skins and wore them that night at the concert across the street at the Holiday Star theater which he prompt me handed me to backstage passes for! What a fantastic evening what a showman... My most memorable part of 1987!

A Metal fan growing up (my pallet of genres quite vast at this point), i was introduced to Muddy at around the age of 17 or so. He's definitely one of the best; he just does it right. I find most of what is called Blues all in the box, never venturing out of it. My theory then, is if your going to go Blues, do it right. I suppose I find most blues relatively blah and "more of the same", but there are some that give it character, and I suppose, like anything, you have to be in the mood and/or give yourself to it when you go there.
