At the end of the battle when the scg raided the antique. He fights arima trying to lead the survivors away after he ate some of hide because he was injured and needed to be at his peak but he still lost when arima pierced his head and they took him back to their headquarters and healed which lead to him loosing his memory but in the anime it just shows him walking an injured hide to there temporary encampment and it cuts off at that. So the anime really leaves alot of important parts out
