In all my years, I have never seen a Haitian vlog. As a Jamairican I’m proud of you. I have Haitian friends with parents who are too scared for their kids to visit. So many of the Caribbean countries need to become self sufficient. Haitians please invest into your country…Jamaican ms and others we need to do the same. Idk how but I hope and pray we can get rid of the internal corruption in all our nations…maybe even take advantage of ppl opting out of doing business with America.

Being from the Caribbean i totally agreed on that you said about us cleaning our chicken/ meats. I wanted to add another reason and you said it too, the meat smells heavenly when cleaned with lemons. You see it takes away from the poultry scent and gives you a fresh smell

The western media don't ever show the good side of some of these countries. If some people didn't know any better they"ll think that countries like Haiti and countries in Africa are war torn all over and everyone in these countries live in poverty and squalor. They don't ever show nice buildings and nice homes and people dressed well and driving nice cars. It's all war and poverty but somehow with other countries you see all the good sides and no bad sides.

New subscriber. In the early eighties I live down in Miami, there were three of us ladies living together; Catherine the home owner, she was studying to be a doctor (she's Haitian) Pamela (Jamaican) and me the American. Catherine looked like a model and it was her home. I learned from her back then that all Haitian definitely weren't poor. This American lady learned how to make chicken without flour and how to cook plantains. Stay blessed.

I use vinegar or lemon to clean my poultry & I am equally as cautious about not touching things in my kitchen. I have a whole protocol I follow. After the chicken is finally out of the sink and cooking, I spray the inside of the sink and all the surrounding areas with bleach water, which disinfects in less than 5 mins. I then rinse everything and wash (like you) with a disposable paper towel before either putting it in the dishwasher or washing again with a sponge. My family is NOT allowed NEAR the sink area until I’m done and everything is disinfected and dry!! They try it though & I have to yell! 😊

I’m like your grandma. I rarely ever get chicken when I eat out or order for delivery because of the “raw” smell it has which usually end up also tasting raw. Others will say “they don’t smell or taste any rawness” so i assumed it was probably all in my head.

Great video as always. For cleaning after meat-I would suggest soaking the dishes in antibacterial Clorox and soap. Then it's safe to use the sponge. Great background music. I just noticed how glaring the no-gun sign on the grocery store building is. You get to eat fresh chicken and not something that has been pumped with all sorts of hormones and frozen to be consumed.
