Haiti has rich and poor.not every Haitian was raise "poor".the house you live in doesn't dieted whether you rich or poor.you might be rich in materials but poor in SPIRIT. STOP THE NEGATIVE COMMENTS!

@wittycutie I've been told that most of these nice houses weren't affected by the earthquake since most are in the hills & outside of Port-au-Prince. As a civil engineer, you need to know that most houses & buildings in Haiti weren't & aren't built to sustain earthquakes. If you looked at the way the National Palace was destroyed such was the results of not having strong structural beams. Most government buildings were destroyed due to lack of structural beams not poor constructions.

Was that before or after the earthquake? By my rough estimates as a civil engineer, at least 2 of these houses should have suffered extensive damage during the earthquake. Plus, a number of the fences should have (at least partially, if not toally) collapsed.
