Another thing i’d like to point out is that even if you have good calls and ideas the consistency is what comes into play. If you have those ideas but the execution is 50/50 you wont rank up as easily even if you are doing what is the best move in each situation, it surely helps but having the mechanical consistency is still a must

I am happy to play at silver for now. I recently started playing CS2 and I haven't played since CS1.6 and right now I haven't gotten back in to the game sense. I may have good aim and reflexes, but all of a sudden some guy sneaks up behind me and I didn't anticipate it. I do have great smoke and flash strategies memorized, yet I really need to play enough to understand where my opponents will be without listening to footsteps and just understand the game enough to anticipate their moves.. Anyways, I feel silver is enough at the moment and when I have played a few hundred, maybe thousand hours I know I will be able to rank into the rank that I will deserve..

As a 13k and former Global elite i can say that the gamesense in those guys is far from 10k,maybe at the very most 4000 elo.Aim placement is almost terrible,you must place a little further from the corner you peeking in case the opponent comes and take a quick peek and pre-fires. Pre-fire,i swear that i saw very few of them and all of them has 0 logic,most of the time you pre fire a position which is fairly common used and you have solid info about it. Peeking with shift again,it's a silver mistake because this will not make you invisible,it will kill you 90% of the time because the POV of yours when you are very close to the walls is not the same with a person far away from it.Again,sticking with the walls it's not like it's not used but it's used for stealth in a very incospicous spot for a "meat grinder" or a silent frag,most of the time you want to be a little further away from the wall in order for you to see the enemy before he sees you. (POV baby). Aim is purely silver aim with reaction time according to it (i admit that i stopped playing for an year,just got back to cs again and i got rusty myself but it's far better in comparison),there are maps which can help you with your aim,pre-fire,utilities and positioning (After so many hours in CS i still don't properly know how to smoke window in mirage) My letify rating on utilities though is 78 close to 80 (for experienced players we all know that letify can be a very hard critic) which i look after every match down in my history matches in letify to check my rating and what was wrong and what was good and what can be improved (letify have so many training courses for you guys). Gamesense is top floor here,my bro has been shot from CT close to ticket and he had no idea what was going on,no reaction shot no nothing which in general it means a free frag for me and for the others. You may want to learn to look on the map when things get messy to look at the last position of the enemies,look to the direction from where you are being shot and take the reaction shot and fall back and reposition. Another and last thing which a lot of silvers tend not to do that it's repositioning. Guys you may want to consider that in the future in order to deal maximum efficency. Get one easy frag,reposition in order for the others not to know your location and to be difficult to get killed in that way. I hope i helped some of the people which is love rank or new in CS with these advices. Have fun and don't forget,if you are starting to lose match after match maybe you want to consider a refresh in order to cool down.

To really get a telling result you should put 1 of the low elo players in a lobby with 4 higher elo players. From personal experience with a few of my low rank friends back in the GO days i can tell that they quite often pop off rather quickly couse they find the structure they need to perform better within their own team if the other mates are higher rank.

During placement matches of the 5k account, I landed in cheater paradise, but I gotta say i have rounds, which are at least as difficult or even more difficult than on 18k. My highest rank is gold nova 2 and I have 15k elo premier. It is not easy getting that. While I have 600hrs in the game, I think 1/3 of that was me spending time learning the mechanics and all that stuff. If you're stuck on a low elo, you probably deserve it. Just like life, u gotta work harder.

Hard stuck is possible. I was LEM and played FaceIT solo and kept losing even though I top-fragged most games went to either 2 or 3 rank. The enemy team would say they felt bad for me. Started playing with friends and went to 9 fairly easily. I have a friend who I met in the early days of CS:GO he ended up falling down to rank GN4 or something terrible like that and would drop 40's and lose. We played together and he ended up with global back in the spin bot days and being a good ESEA-M player and level 10 FaceIT. It happens, but it's fairly rare. Those are the only 2 instances I know of. Most of the time its players have higher ranks than they deserve.

One issue with white ranks is that we are very used to playing with people who don't have rank yet which results in new players being in matches against returning good players/smurfs who just absolutely destroy them not even giving chance for them to learn anything about the game

I think these people should be forced into occasional high elo games. Most of what I learned in CSGO came when I was a low silver player being forced into MGE-LEM games with friends. Unless you’re completely braindead, you’ll learn a bit on how to adapt. After a while I started performing better in higher ranked matches despite only reaching a max rank of GN2. Part of it comes from the communication and predictability in higher ranked matches vs the unpredictability of Silver 1s.

I'm actually hard stuck around 6k with 2k hours... I have no friends and get the worst luck with teammates. I get 20+ kills a game and still lose every time. This is so demotivating which also makes me play less often and therefore my aim, movement, etc., isn't always as consistent either. I have seen some cheaters but don't feel like that's as problematic as others claim, at least with prime and good trust factor. I think I deserve around 10k so I'd love to try this challenge. Although, my region is NA so my ping might be terrible if on EU account/servers.
