Hajimari no Tabi: Adalbert ending

Woah, even Adalbert has his own ending with Yuri?! The creators thought of everything! Though his doesn't have that feeling same shippy feeling that most of the other characters had, it feels more like he's had a change of heart and wants to help Yuri now. Very platonic. But it's good to know that he won't try to hurt him anymore. :) I don't dislike Adalbert, he may have started out as a villain but his reason were for his loved ones so he's not rlly a bad guy.

There's even a special Saralegui ending, but it's a drama CD since it wasn't possible in the game :P This is one problematic ending though! There are only two points in the game which lead to the Adalbert ending, if you end up getting points from him there you'll end up with Adalbert ending irrespective of how much points you scored with the others. I think I played the game 3 to 4 times before figuring it out T.T I personally started liking Adalbert after reading Seisakoku arc and watching the 1st musical.

So... Adalbert apologizes to Yuuri for always putting him in danger until recently and Yuuri gets creeped out and threatens Adalbert with Gunter? ... No, not another Yuuri fan boy! Yuuri has enough fan boys. He doesn't need anymore. Seeing Adalbert like this makes me wish that Yuuri would disappear and that Julia would come back so that she and Adalbert cab be together. Maybe then everyone will forget about Yuuri and quit wanting to "protect" him. * rolls eyes * Thanks for translating and uploading though. I enjoyed watching / listening to it despite the fact that Adalbert is now a Yuuri fan boy. :)

I thought you didn't like Julia? The way the series is, if Yuuri were to disappear and Julia comes back they'll all (including Julia) would try to find a way to get Yuuri back even if that means that Julia can never come back. But I'd feel really bad for Conrad if that happens, all his effort of bringing her soul to Earth, seeing that Yuuri is born safely and him coming to terms with his feelings for Julia after her death would be in vain and I'd feel bad for him even more if she were to get together with Adalbert. I like both Adalbert x Julia and Conrad x Julia but Conrad being my favorite character get's a little bias from my side ;) Although, I'd like if Julia takes over Yuuri's body or something and both Conrad and Adalbert get to talk to her at least once. But it's never going to happen since Takabayashi-sensei had said in an interview in MA-hon that she'll never give Conrad a chance to meet Julia ever again T.T

I don't. She's just too perfect. She's so innocent and kind it's like she never does anything wrong or have any flaws. Everyone adores her and wants to marry her. It makes her unbelievable as a character so it just irritates me the way everyone puts her on a pedastal and worships her. > _ > It's the same with Yuuri. Even though he isn't perfect and has flaws, everyone still wants to change who they are so they can protect him, and in the process end up falling in love with him and wanting to marry him: Wolfram, Gunter, Celi, Saralegui. Even Adalbert wants to change now so he can protect Yuuri. I wouldn't be surprise if he ended up falling in love with him and wanting to marry him like everyone else as well. Yuuri has his good points and is somewhat cute and has gotten himself into some troublesome situations at times, but he isn't the only one. The others all have their good points and are somewhat cute / attractive and have gotten into sticky situations sometimes as well, but no one ever goes on about wanting to protect them or marry them the way they do Yuuri. That's why I want Julia to come back. It would divert everyone's attention away from Yuuri and give them something else to focus on for a change. Even if Julia and the others all tried to find a way to bring Yuuri back at least Conrad would get a chance to see her again and to tie up any loose ends. Maybe we'd get to see Conrad and Adalbert finally settle things between them as well. I don't think Conrad would feel his efforts with Yuuri were all in vain if everything worked out and Yuuri came back in the end. I would think you would be jealous if Conrad ended up with Julia, but yeah, I like that pairing too, actually, and wouldn't mind seeing them together. I'd like to see Adalbert with someone as well, but not Julia. He seems a bit much for her. Haha... that would be interesting. I wonder what they would do if Julia were to take over Yuuri's body and use it as a way to talk to them. I guess we'll never know if that's how Takabayashi feels about it. I wonder what Conrad did to make her hate him so? He isn't my favorite character but he isn't that bad. :/

There are very few details about Julia, be it the anime or novels, so I really don't know how exactly she was. Most of the time whenever the whole topic about Julia is brought up, the situation isn't exactly where they can sit and chat about her entire personality, and they usually talk about things that happened just before or during the war. I remember there was a chapter about Julia and Conrad talking about the stars and Julia kept on telling him how some good animal defeated the bad one and that's how the star/constellation came into being and was named after the good one, the way Conrad was saying it, I suppose she had a childish side to her. In the anime when her father came to the castle to free Gunter from the Wincott poison, he mentioned that Julia was quite mischievous as a child. Rather than perfect, I'd say that everyone just enjoyed her company much like with Yuuri. I think the anime, specially season 3 went overboard with Yuuri being too good and trusting with everyone, that's something that even I didn't like much. I prefer the Yuuri from the novels. I realy can't imagine Adalbert wanting to marry Yuuri though ^^; You are forgetting that Yuuri is just 16, has grown up in a place which is peaceful and he's the king. He has never gone through any training while the others are trained soldiers. Saving someone just because they are cute/attractive just sounds wrong. They have their priorities, the king's safety comes first. Loving someone or wanting to marry them has got nothing to do with how much trouble they get into, besides Yuuri always goes to save anyone who gets into trouble. That would be good for Conrad, but I don't think I would be jealous of Julia, I'm jealous of Yuuri though. I prefer platonic love over romantic one, I'd prefer to have the sort of relationship Conrad has with Yuuri rather than the one he had (wanted to have?) with Julia. The way he spoils him and protects him, that is what I want, romance isn't my thing ^^; Haha, I don't think Conrad did anything, it's Takabayashi-sensei who has done everything to him, lol. Giving him a sad past, then giving him a little happiness for a while and then taking everything away from him, making him betray the person he never wanted to betray, not allowing him to return, everything was done by her... my poor Conrad :'( But then again that's the sort of stuff I like (talking about the novels of course) :P

See? this is what im concerned about T-T #crying even Adelbert who once wanted to kill Yuuri finally become docile and nice after knowing the truth about julia's soul. how bout conrad? he likes yuuri also because julia T-T what if yuuri's soul is not julia? The fact that Yuuri is Julia's reincarnation will never change so going with the assumption that "Conrad likes Yuuri because he has Julia's soul"... Does he project Julia's personality on Yuuri? Does he respect Yuuri's decisions and wishes? Does he make an effort to make Yuuri happy? Does he let Yuuri have the freedom to do whatever he wants and to talk to whomever he wishes to, while still making sure that he is there to protect him if something goes wrong? To what extent is Conrad truly willing to go in order to protect Yuuri? If your answer to those questions is a favorable one then even in a "what if" situation, Conrad still supports Yuuri in every way he can and if it's for Yuuri's sake he is gladly willing to give up on anything including his life. And I think that's what matters more than anything else ^_^
