My favorite part about this fight is after when Sendo is talking to Sawamura and he says something like, "Ippo's fists lift people up! They don't destroy people like ours do!" As Sawamura is in the hospital for a broken eye socket, 3 broken ribs and losing 4 of his front teeth. Those injuries are traumatic and potentially career ending!

the dempsey rool is definitely obsolete attack in modern boxing but its really just a chain of hooks. frazier you could say uses it in a different fasion he does similar bobs and weaves but he not preditable when he is gonna throw he hook he sometimes jabs or just closes distance or goes to the body you could say that is a modern version of it

Which is ironic as it could be just as Handy of a KO Tool as High Guard and Cross Guard are to Defense. I either forgo the Figure Eight Movement Entirely and instead just Shift my Head at a Downaward Angle Back and Forth. If I use the Figure 8 then I Duck Downward or another Changed Movement every couple or so beats. And Mix other punches into the Movement. Such as when I duck randomly ill say throw an uppercut instead of a hook by carrying the momentum down on my toes then back upward. I'll then say throw an overhand. Into a Bolo Punch, into a Shovel Hook. You get the idea keeps if near impossible to predict the direction or the next punch.

Son Gohan he punched him earlier. This video only showed the last minutes of the match. Ippo started his comeback by using stop-motion dempsey about one round before this one. He punched the hell out of Sawa's head, scoring a down. After that Ippo pretty much toyed with Sawa, giving him some punches including body blows.
