Hajj is an amazing experience. It has a huge impact on so many people so try to go when you're young. You never know if there will be a "next year" so if you can go sooner than later, then please try to go and don't forget to make du'ah for me when you're there :)

that is so true, the prophets mosque was one of the best experiences i have ever had. ever step i had in madina was...(words cannot explain) because i might be tredding on the same area that the prophet (saaws) was tredding on. But the mosque itself was truely magnificant. If i had the chance to go to madina again, i would take it.

I went to do Umrah last year alhamdulillah, I went to Madina is well alhamdulillah, anyone who has the money to do Hajj/Umrah I recommend u go there and experience it, if u can go to madina is well and u will see how amazing the city is and how great the people are.

Mashallah, I very good point about the whole 'me first' thing. I've lived in Saudi Arabia almost all my life, although I'm not Saudi at all, and I've noticed a lot of things people do here that doesn't follow up to what a Muslim should do. Inshallah, people will learn how to treat one-another fairly instead of what's going on now.

My sister went to Umrah and she said the same thing as you just said :D Madina is more peaceful and calm. I think its because the people of Madina were the ones that welcomed the prophet and the muhajereen. Allahu A'alam

I am in the same situation as you right now. I would absolutely love to go to Umrah this year but I'm in a dilemma because there is no Mahram around to go with me, no one who is ready. :( InshAllah Allah (swt) accepts your du'a and mine and grants us great husbands and the ability to make hajj inshAllah. :)

lol, SubhanAllah, we pretty much share the SAME exact experience, but we didn't have to worry about luggages, we only had our carryon..We bought everything else after.. Jazakallah Brother Ali for this new vid and for the tips that you said, like "You First" and im making a promise to myself to save my money from now on inshallah. I remember going for Umrah and i know the feeling that you had because it was soo powering. Especially in Madinah, the masjid was beutiful. My favorite part was Mount Arafat, because that it the same place everyone is going to gather on the day of judgment. Inshallah i will go to hajj too.

subhan Allah, Brother Ali! Your words are almost verbatim the same as what I tell people about the Masjid al Haram and Masjid an Nabi (s.a.w). Especially the part about how Medina has a sense of tranquility that Makkah does not. Subhan Allah, it's as if you were speaking on my behalf when you said that. I am constantly looking for peace wherever I am, and until today there has been no place I've been to that has been as peaceful as Medina. Salaam. May Allah bless you and your family :)

Haj Makbool inshallah, i think you're lucky to experience the middle eastern culture after you had already embraced Islam, otherwise you wouldn't have differentiated between Islamic and cultural behaviour, which is not all bad by the way, i hope i would make Haj soon myself, i am not a patient person but i hope i could train myself to have more sabr in Haj, i think making Haj has a major role influencing your personality, making you realize what you're capable of doing in tough situations.

Hey Baba Ali First of all may Allha except your hajj and all the Muslim's Hajj this year and in the coming years inshallah. I did my hajj back in 2004 and it was the most significant experience i ever did and i love every part of it. Just think about it, Hajj nowadays is easier than it ever been, if we Muslims didnt face these small obstacles found in most crowded places that really test a persons patience Hajj will be just a process. So in my mind these things you talked about are all a test.

Allah is the best of judges, and with him lies the greatest of justice. Allah knows that everyone is different. Humans have lived in different time periods, in different circumstances, and different life situations. You will be judged upon your means and abilities. If you had the financial means, but chose not to go on Hajj, well that is your own fault and you will have to answer for that.
