I have decided to do this project, but sd card was a little hassle, but managed to get working. However, I liked the wardriving with gps. It was way too cool, because it gave me a pointer where to get free wifi! Alex, thank you for another projects that keeps me going! Edit Update: 8/31/2024. I supposed if I change the number on delay from 500 to 2000 or little more, will it slowdown the download of wireless data? Thank you.

Is there a way to adjust the sketch to get it to print only newly detected devices, say new within the last 2 min, instead of printing the same devices over and over again with only SEQ changing? Thanks for the fun project. I had to set the serial monitor baud rate to 115200 to get it to work (I left Tools> Upload speed at 921600).

Alex, Thank your for the interesting video. I tried the .ino file into my ESP8266 and it didn't work well, but it made my computer gone haywire. Would you happens to have .bin file instead of .ino file? Again, thank you for keeping me from being bored.

As in the video, it's not always what's in the data, but more where it comes from. Could use it to track when certain devices come and go from areas

@@CRUZIFIEDv4 Good luck if you have supercomputers, with normal hardware this is quite difficult..not to mention WPA3, but as some people mentioned above this method is more usefull for reconnaissance and kind of forensics.

Hey! The benefit to this is cheap, small, and disposable wifi surveillance; you can gather enough data on this small board completely unnoticed just by walking by a populated area, and later come back to run more advanced wifi attacks if needed.

Hi! I'd actually suggest hacking into the boyfriend's brain directly to gather reconnaissance on his biometrics. Once you determine which of his systems is the weakest, hiring a hitman Panda would be your best shot. I'll try to cover these techniques in upcoming videos though.

Can you make a video about raspberry Pi pico in hacking
@nickdsnik16753 жыл бұрын
I think that the pi zero, with built in wireless and SD card slot, would be a better starting point which you can also get to log wireless packets in promiscuous mode.

This is great and all, but I would rather like to see content related to Hak5 devices when videos are released under the "Hak5 flag". This kind of generic stuff can be found elsewhere. There are a lot of Hak5 devices and/or related techniques that can be used as material for videos. Just sit for a period of time an "monitor" what's being discussed on the Hak5 Discord server or the Hak5 forums and identify what users have issues with. Make videos of that. Or videos that acts as extensions to the already existing documentation. Then we have the payloads for many Hak5 devices that is "video material" as well. It doesn't necessarily have to be the newest and most flashy payloads that is covered. Another area of interest could be developing modules for the Pineapple Mk7 (setting up a dev environment, creating a basic module, etc.). There is good documentation already, but a video is always a video. There is also Hak5 devices that aren't available to buy anymore even though they aren't that old. I'm primarily thinking of the Signal Owl, a device that really didn't get much air time, no pun intended, or yeah... (the Owl is still available to buy but not officially from the Hakshop). I guess there are at least some ppl out there that has bought this device, so it's still out there and is a nice little tool if you ask me. More things can be done with it. So... my wish is more focus on Hak5 gear. There are a lot of them and I think both users, new customers and Hak5 will benefit from content more like "the old days" with Hak5 gear used in many different ways. That was what made me coming back to watch videos through the years and I actually miss that.
@AlexLynd3 жыл бұрын
Hi Chriz - Hak5's collaboration with other makers and hackers in this community is what keeps many of these hardware platforms alive and consistently improved upon, but we feel it's also important to showcase other projects we develop using less sophisticated hardware. This gives beginners the opportunity to gain insight to processes (like wifi recon) running behind the scenes on many Hak5 products / other automated tools, and also get started with hacking while learning the basics of how some of these products are developed. That being said, we appreciate the input and do have some Hak5 product videos in queue, but I'll take note to dedicate more episodes to specifically towards using them :) - Alex
