If you leave in that way with the assailant still able to attack is useless to practice ju jitsu.

+Stazzo82 Most grappling arts are completely useless. With striking arts like Kung Fu, Karate and Muay Thai you can end a fight quick but with Jujitsu it might take too long and a bunch of other guys will come and kick your ass. That's why Jujitsu only works if you're up against one guy as long as he has no one else with him.

Jon Miller In true modern ju jitsu you must use strikes or atemi before you try throw the opponent or make some kind joint lock. But unfortunately the most part of ju jitsu practitioners study only catching and locking without strikes. In ju jitsu fight a good way is strikes opponent and win time for throw its or make a joint lock.

@@DaddyWarbucks452 coming from someone who practices Muay Thai and jujutsu, it is definitely not useless. You practice it slowly, but in real life it doesn't take long if you're good at it (what I've noticed from personal experience)

It’s important to practice slowly because you want to get the technique right. Otherwise you’re bound to break something. Which is why we start off slow. Once you have the technique down, you can start speeding up

they practice it slowly to get new techniques right, many of them are done quickly
