How to Play Pendulum Magician in January 2024 Ft. Jason! | Pendulum Magician Combos | Rogue

Hi everyone, this is Jason. I deeply apologize for any mechanical mistakes that were present in the combo video. I had prepared the google doc as my set of notes in preparation and it seems that I unfortunately overlooked I:P's basic summoning conditions plus some other things. It has also been pointed out that combo 3 is never nib proof which is correct, but it was the best chance to attempt to set up a negate before the pendulum summon, however, the weakness is still in Beyond the Pendulum herself. Unfortunately, Pendulum Magician in it's current form is still very vulnerable to Droll and Nib. I've updated the Google Doc to make sure there is no longer any mechanical mistakes present in any combos presented. I've also provided screenshots/pictures to help show the endboards in the Google Doc itself. Due to combo 3 having a glaring mechanical mistake, I've recorded a short video demonstrating the combo in it's correct form. I've also included a variation of combo 3 in the newly recorded video having a stronger follow-up for one less interruption. Very cool to see these combos, but unfortunately you can't make IP with link monsters so combo 1 you'd have to make Apollousa if no SP, and the combo 3 you can't use Beyond the Pendulum as a link monster for IP so maybe only SP can be made there?

Thanks for catching that! Jason was trying to be considerate of people who didn’t have SP but you’re right, going into SP is just the best option lol

If you open chrono, lightwurm and gate magician or fenrir(if u play it) and two gate magicians you can also make "nib proof combos". Im playing secret village which i search off Ignister and maiden instead if the trap, have you tried playing it with it and what do u think about it if u have

For the nib proof combo, they can still nib you right before the pend summon because you cant activate monster effects until you pend, no? Im always scared of someome realizing that. Playing this in the TCG just makes me was electrumite so much.

I personally like to go vortex abyss dweller and hopefully baronne. You can also in a combo with wisdom eye you can use lightwurm and oaf then use the Harmonising and wisdom eye to make dweller

switching a few cards around, you can end on Vortex (+/- Baronne), Exceed, IP, Soul of the Supreme Celestial King, complete scales to use exceed effect on opp turn. deck is insane but pretty tiring to play

I'm dumb I can't figure out this line. I'm guessing the Unicorn searches Birth, but I can't see how you're supposed to use Supreme King Magician after that

@@zweis my bad you need to have gate zero or a lightwurm set up ready. Its a 3 card combo but it cycles back all spent resources

Ok. Someone else wrote this here too, but I saw this now on 3 combos, where he used a link monster to make i:p. That should just not possible. But you can end on a board with exceed, i:p and vortex and that's only with darkwurm and gate magician, which is still a solid endboard.

Combo 3 isnt nib-proof. Beyond says until you pendulum summon you can't use monster effects. so they can still nib you after making beyond and vortex.

Fair, but then you make the rest of the board. I wouldn't call it "Nib proof", but it definitely plays through Nib

Cool man! But you telling me how to play this deck with the pen god Trif? Hmmm...idk but something is missing here maybe some flips table combos and scream of the best deck as for pen players like trif haha!❤

The deck, in my opinion, has to have crossout for the simple fact that you will take nibiru and hand traps, 3x crossout I think is important for the deck
