Hi Steven, thanks for watching. Actually, I think it is somewhere in between king and queen since the beds are able to separate into singles, but individually are not twin size mattresses.

@@TalkingCruise Thank you for the fast reply. We are excited about our upcoming cruise. My preference for the hinged door vs. the sliding door is I find the sliding doors have a draft when closed. At where the sliding door mates with the stationary door/window in the closed position. But, TBH, neither nor will stop me from going on a cruise. Either sliding or hinged door, either or, I am going! Thanks again. GW

One thing I was hoping to figure out before our cruise was where our empty suitcases could go. Is there space under the bed for them? Websites seem to differ on this depending on cruise... Thanks for doing this video! Very useful!

Hi Ericbro64, thanks for watching. If your bags on standard size, they should slide under the bed. Sometimes extra linens, pillows and such are stored in bags under the bed, if that is the case you can ask for them to be removed during your cruise. I also found good storage in the closet onboard HAL's newer ships.

My husband and I are taking our first cruise on the Rotterdam, for 11 days in the caribbean in Feb. Our travel agent not so helpful with room selection. We sail the end of Feb, and saw some VB rooms on the sundeck towards the front of the ship. I wondered if you thought these upper rooms might be windy or noisy. I thought the views would be lovely up there, but can't figure out if location would be bad. I loved your review and hoped you might have input on room VB11010!

Hi Virginia, thanks for watching. I love those rooms actually, wind not much different than other forward facing rooms, but the quick access to the spa, fitness center and lido pool is fantastic. I assume you need a triple room? Also keep in mind that VB11010 connects to VB11014. Personally, I never book connecting rooms (if I can avoid it) unless I need them. There are some triple rooms further aft (11048, 11050, 11054, 11058) that do not connect.

Hi Chris! I appreciate the opulence of the standard balcony cabins. Storage could be increased, but overall, the quality of the amenities and decor make me want to book this ship for my birthday... A minor quibble.. would rather have the mini fridge be empty..

Hi Ari, I agree, rooms are great in all levels. If I get a stocked fridge, I usually ask to have the items removed.
