What is concerned here as fish, is that which lives in water (sea, river, or watercourse) once out of the water it dies, like sardine, and other fish with scales or without, all are halal, Muslim scholars are unanimous on this subject, with the exception of Imam Abu hanifa (ابي حنيفة النعمان) who saw that fish without scales are not allowed to eat (haram). So, for him alone, shrimp, octopus, sepia, crab, and other fish without scales are not halal.

I'll correct it: 1. According to Islamic law, horses are halal animals. Horses are not included in the category of unclean animals, namely carnivorous animals with claws to tear their prey or birds with claws. Horses are grass-eating animals that do not have claws or claws. 2. Hyena (adh dhobu') is a halal animal. This is based on the word of Allah in Al-'Araaf: 157 which means "And who makes lawful for them everything that is good". Imam Syafi'i also said that people used to eat hyena meat and buy and sell it in the areas around Shafa and Marwah. 3. Mussels are a type of seafood. Proponents of halal shellfish argue that all seafood is permissible for Muslims to eat. They believe that because shellfish are a type of seafood, they are included in the halal food category. 4. In fact, halal fish carcasses have been scientifically proven not to interfere with the working activities of the human body. 5. The majority of Islamic scholars consider all types of shellfish halal, including crab. In practice, many Muslims eat and enjoy crab and other shellfish. 6. Seahorses are allowed to be eaten because they fall within the generality of the above verses and hadith and there are no arguments against it. Also, because it is halal for land horses to be eaten with nash, of course seahorses are even more halal. 7. Based on the information above, eating shrimp, octopus, squid,Shell and crab, are all halal and there are no obstacles, based on the generality of the arguments that show it is permissible to eat sea game animals. Imams Abu Hanifah, Abu Yusuf and Muhammad believe that only fishes are Halal out of all that which lives in water, and is born in it. This is because Quran (5:96) which the opponents often use to argue has a certain context which they often overlook. As for horse, yes all madhhabs agree that its halal as is proven from Ahadith.

Yet we don't even find a single week narration from even a sahabi that he ate any seafood other than fish so why didn't they eat other seafood if they underatood the Quran and Sunnah better then us? We also base our argument on 7:157 as Allah prohibits us from eating Khabaith. We say that if you consider all seafood halal then that would include distgusting stuff which a normal human being would refuse tthus they are all included in khabaith.

​@@tahamuhammad1814 thing is if sahabi didn't eat doesn't mean we can't eat all seafoods. Verse 5:96 already clears all doubts, furthermore our prophet didn't tell us to avoid any seafood either. As for crocs, turtles they live in both land and water so they're haram, if jellyfish is poisonous then it's not allowed to eat. As for octopus, what's wrong with it? Its not poisonous neither disgusting. I never ate one but search vids about it,its meat is white and clear. Nothing disgusting about it.

Crab isn't haram, it's khilafiyah. And actully it's included in the general hadith about the halal of seafood. If crabs are haram just because they live in two realms, we should also forbid catfish and eels cuz they can live in the mud without water too.

In Egypt we usually say " its not easy to say this is Halal and this is Haram " , we mean : when the man says halal or haram should support what he says with hadith and the explaination of sehaba or a'aema .. this video need more edits especially about sea animals ... There are some misunderstanding , misconceptions or mis reporting in this video . Remember in Islam for landed animals all herbivores (plant eating animals) are halal,They are termed as 'Anaam' in the Quran . Horse and donkey has same hukum . People may hesitate to eat them and call their meat Makruh (abhorrent) but its not haram. In central asian Muslim states and even in some parts of Turkey people eat horse meat as delicacy. All carnivores/omnivores or predator animals are haram . Some people object why Quran specifically mentions pig as haram and not other haram animals .The answer to this is because pig resembles sheep in its outlook and its predominantly a herbivore but it also eats small animals. So there was confusion about its status that should it be haram or halal . That why God cleared the confusion through his verses. Secondly, all sea animals are halal as they are called said-al-bahr... 'hunt of the sea' .
