इन दिनों सोशल मीडिया पर एक वीडियो आग की तरह फैल रहा है। जहां देश की सबसे आधुनिक ट्रेन ‘वंदे भारत एक्सप्रेस’ में एक यात्री ‘हलाल सर्टिफाइड चाय’ परोसने को लेकर काफी बवाल मचाता दिखा। दरअसल, ट्रेन में यात्रियों को जो चाय परोसी गई उसपर हलाल सर्टिफाइड लिखा हुआ था। जिसपर एक शख्स भड़क गया। ऐसे में जब रेल कर्मचारी आया तो उसने कहा की "यह वेजिटेरियन चाय है सर" ऐसे में यात्री कहता है की हमारा सावन चल रहा है। हम घर पर पूजा करेंगे जाकर हलाल सर्टिफाइड क्या होता है? ऐसे में रेल कर्मचारी कहता है "सर यह चाय वेजिटेरियन है और सारी चाय वेजीटेरियन ही होती हैं" लेकिन शख्स नहीं मानता और कहता है "हमारी धार्मिक भावनाएं इससे आहत होती हैं! आप स्वास्तिक सर्टिफाइड चाय लाएं!"

For a Muslim, 'Halal' means 'not forbidden' and opposite is 'Haram' which is 'forbidden'. Among food and drinks, Alcohol, Pork Meat, Blood etc. are Haram for consumption. Also, meat of an animal without invoking the name of 'Allah, the Almighty God' at the time of slaughtering is Haram as food. Tea is not classified as Haram in Islam. Due to industrial processing advancement, many items are routinely added as 'trace elements' in the packaged foods for increasing its shelflife. Many of items may have been inadvertently added in them which are Haram for consumption. Tea packet sold with a 'Halal certified' stamp on it simply confirms that no Haram ingredient is in it. Now a days, I see lots of food and drink packages with 'Vegan' certificate stamped on them which is different from 'Vegetarian' certificate we see on some. 'Vegan' confirms it is purely 'plant based' and there is nothing 'animal based' item in it such as even milk. One may just ignore Halal mark on many common vegetarian foods/drinks. Many business groups make 'money' by adding such 'certificates' to attract 'particular' kind of people now a days (it is not against any law). One may accept or reject anything by his own proper judgement or may at least ask before consumption. This person, in the video, was asking about 'Halal mark' and his concern is ok (he was unsure of its meaning with respect to his religious belief). When we travel in a western country, if you order an egg omlette (on Airplane, Train, Bus, Restaurants etc.), you may definitely ask if the omlette has any 'meat' item it it before eating it. They have invariably pork meat added in the egg omlettes in a western country. Similarly, an egg fried rice in a 'Chinese' restaurant may have 'alcohol' in it (I had this experience in Markham).

The company that is marketing and selling these may be exporting these items to middle-east countries (Saudi Arabia, UAE, Bahrain, Qatar, Oman, Iraq, Kuwait etc.) where people like to know no haram ingredient in it (e.g. Pork, Blood, Alcohol etc.) with 'Halal' label in it. They may have lost contract or have surpluss these ones and are selling cheap to Indial Railways (at cheap rate). Ask them (Indian Railways). There is nothing wrong with this tea product but is just exposing the hate few Indian Hindu indians have on Muslim indiansdue to communal divisive hate-filled politics. This is only exposing people with hate. Just love all as human, fear god and have moral character, work to support sick, poor, old, widows, children, homeless and clean our soul. We are all one family of human from Almighty God. हलाल certified होने से मुस्लिमों की धार्मिक भावना आहत नही होगी , लेकिन हिंदुओं की क्यों नही होगी , definitely होगी। भारत सरकार ऐसा क्यों नही करती की fssai certification में ही islamic conditions को satified किया जाए । लेकिन नही इस्लामिक तुष्टिकरण जो करना है , हलाल certification के नाम पर ये इस्लामिक body कितना पैसा वसूली करती है और इस्लाम का प्रचार और जिहाद के लिए प्रयोग करती है ।

It is written in it that it is vegetarian means those who do not eat non-veg can eat it. Halal is written in it means it does not contain any dung urine alcohol ( and already mentioned vegetarian so no chance for jhatka meat which is haram for muslim )it can be eaten by muslims Because the products of our country are exported to Middle East countries, then they need Halal certified.
