Halawet Shamsena dance - حلاوة شمسنا: فرقة رضا

Mahmoud Reda is the most celebrated choreographer in the history of Egyptian cinema. His band (The Reda band) holding his name is still active today and is considered to be the most important dance band that specializes in Egyptian Folklore. With his sister in law, Farida Fahmey, featured in this video as the first leading dancer of the band, Mahmoud Reda made one of the immortal duets. His band's pan-Arab world glory started with this movie that was shot in Luxor among Egypt's dazzling monuments. Gharam fel Karnak or (Passion in Karnak) is one of the most important 100 movies in the history of Egypt's cinema and one of the most important dance movies as well. This video features the most famous and neat dance in the movie; Farida Fahmy is the leading dancer and el Tholathy el Mareh or (The humorous triple) girl band as both singers and dancers.
All dances in the movie were choreographed by Mahmoud Reda.
