Sinharaja Rainforest in Srilanka is a biodiversity hotspot. It is a treasure trove of endemic species including trees, insects, amphibians, reptiles, birds, and mammals. Declared a world hertiage site by UNESCO in 1988, this forest has 18 of the 20 species of birds endemic to Sri Lanka.

Beautifully executed, sir. Even though I have so many tests coming up in school and barely any time on my hands, watching this twenty minute video was a pleasure and undoubtedly worth it.

Very nice job, Haldar & Co! I tried to find out why the kangaroo lizard is called by that name... maybe, a thorough search will clarify if it has a pouch. The Sri Lankan pit viper is both diurnal and nocturnal, but mostly nocturnal. After all they have heat-seeking sensors (the pits), so that sounds reasonable.

Vikram Dhar You are absolutely correct about pit vipers. I was told that Kangaroo lizards are so named because when they run, they run like a Kangaroo
