This video ends before we see it, but Selena Gomez and Lzzy Hale had a very nice moment. Selena shook Lzzy's hand and paid her a nice compliment. Lzzy bowed and gave a sincere 'Thank you'. Then Selena went to compliment each member of the band one by one. Now, I'm NOT AT ALL a Selena Gomez fan. But she was classy. I won't say anything bad about her.
@scava17584 жыл бұрын
for me the sense is not in hating Selena's personality or even her vocals but is in many people who pay too much attention to this lil pop princess while Halestorm is the underrated band compared to Selena

Scava I just find the hating of pop stars unnecessary. What’s the purpose of it?
@adamw1164 жыл бұрын
@@scava1758 The problem is including the difference in musical genres these women in their twenties grew up with Selena Gomez as children or tweens. They don't know who Lzzy Hale is and that she didn't really break more into the mainstream after she found the right sound and the right band to go along with it in her early thirties I think. Also Rock unfortunately is not the most popular form of music anymore. A song like Familiar Taste Of Poison even a decade ago sounds like something pre grunge.
@JustJoshLTRB4 жыл бұрын
@@adamw116 rock really is to blame for that. Rock fans tend to be very intolerant of other genres on top of that in the mid 00s bands started writing shit that was only really accessible to a select audience. Previously rock was huge because of its accessibility and relatability to the masses. It sucks. I worked in rock for pretty much my whole career in music. And the intolerance of fans always made me cringe.

@Wveth2 жыл бұрын
@@christiecrawford1653 I find that baffling. Much of Lzzy's artistry goes into composition and lyrics, and while you definitely lose something by not seeing the performance, she loads each song with TONS of nuance (lyrically, compositionally and even vocally) to make sure it's still authentic. I think so many of their recorded songs are great, and a few I think are real masterpieces.

I think one of the things I like the most about Halestorm is that it's not just Lzzy that grabs your attention, it's Arejay. I've seen so many bands in which the drummer just blends into the background because they're just sitting there playing normal, but Arejay is always doing tricks and standing up on is drum set and stuff so that even when I'm trying to focus on Lzzy, my gaze wanders to him, curious about what antics he's up too. He's just as much a performer as Lzzy.
