"At movie theaters she says I'm 11." I used to work at a movie theater. We only care about age when it comes to rated R films. Oh boy, the stories I could tell of entitled parents AND entitled kids when it came to rated R films....I still think about the dad who took his 5 year old daughter to see Mortal Kombat (2021), even though she very clearly didn't want to go (for the record, the rules were no 6 year olds and under after 6pm for R rated films. Before 6pm as long as they were accompanied by an adult 21 or older with valid ID it was fine. It was a 5:30 movie, so I couldn't stop him).

Maybe this isn't a thing in your country, but in my country, kids under the age of 12 get movie tickets quite a bit cheaper (it's like 40% off from an adult ticket), which I always thought was the reason Claire told them Luke was 11. She didn't want to have to pay full price for the movie tickets. Not so much about the age rating of the movie as it is about price tickets. At least, that's how I interpreted it.
