Did they change the lyrics? I'd have to check but it sounded like they added a lot of "positive consent" lines to avoid the backlash this song got a few years ago.

Yeah the mans part was completely different. Instead of asking her to stay he's over-ensuring her that she can do what she wants because, even though she's a female, she has the agency of an adult unlike the original song where the man tells her to stay. But the thing is, the girl is supposed to want him to tell her to stay, she wants to hear it even though it's apparent. Except in this version it just seems like he really wants her to go but is scared to tell her. @@kimiyamk
