Gosh I thought I was the only one. 4:20 AM in here right now...And it's the second week in a row youtube suggest one of her videos and I go like "Noo....I won't watch Haley, 'cause I know what happens..." Next thing I know I'm watching her 60th video in a row completely mesmerized with her voice. I'm a fine musician myself, and only hear the best of the best when it comes to singers, since Ella Fitzgerald to Mariah Carey, Kelly Clarkson, Aguilera, and every other prodigy singer that we are blessed to have had in this world....But Haley...I don't know, she has a thing that I never felted before with other singer....

Not a huge country fan I've been a rocker my whole life. The only exception for me are what I consider to be honest-to-god true country singers like Patty Loveless, Brooks & Dunn and The Kendalls. When I first heard this by LeAnn I too was absolutely blown away, having heard this song as a kid from my father's record player I never would have imagined someone could make me like it. But LeAnn did just that. In fact I bought the CD. And Haley sounds just as great. But please, please DON'T go the country route. I love your rockin' bluesy jazzy soul too much. I'd be crushed forever.

She's also a sweet girl with great personality which is always a plus. AMAZING!

This is from the 90's, but you might like modern pop country it doesn't sound like country at all.
@goodmoose2u7 жыл бұрын
The song is country but not sung in a traditional country style. This was sensational. For traditional country, try listening to Patsy Cline, Loretta Lynn, Sara EVans, Johnny Cash, Hank WIlliams, George Jones, ALan Jackson, Bonnie Raitt and look up Outlaw Country on youtube - Waylon Jennings.. I love to hear Kelly Clarkson sing Country songs...it always turns bluesy.. I listen to them when I can tear myself away from Haley.
@bertjones30106 жыл бұрын
Interesting comments. I'd NEVER say that Bonnie Raitt was country, though it's true she's sung a little country. If you've ever heard Bonnie play a slide guitar, you'd swear she was blues player. 'modern' country is really just country pop with a twang, whereas real country music doesn't try and crossover. Haley - little jazz influence, 60s/70s rock and roll (her new album, What's That Sound) and some pop she's not defined by a genre but really can take just about any work and make it her own. Her voice is pretty flexible with great range which she can break on command (as in yodel). I also like her collaboration with her bud Casey and PMJ. Plus these days she's also doing voice work on a TV show called "F is for Family". Pretty damn talented.

Tog Speedy There are quite a lot of examples on YT of Harry backing Haley. He is a very fine guitarist, at home in Jazz as well as Rock and Pop. He accompanied Haley on American Idol when she performed Led Zeppelin's What Is and What Should Never Be, and they only had time for one run through it before the performance. He wasna able to get there sooner. She obviously had great faith in him, and it was well-placed.
