The wax left a polished look on the wood. I tried the white vinegar and water solution and it still has a polished look to it? The original finish is not polish. Please someone help with advice how to fully get rid of polished look left over from wax.

Fill a hot water bottle with very hot water… make sure the outside of the bottle as no splashes of water on. Lay enough paper towels to cover wax. Lay hot water bottle on top for a few moments. Then wipe off wax. It is removed like it never happened. No need even to clean after. I have a French polished table and it removed it perfectly with no risk at all 👍🏽

Getting solid wax off a wood surface is the easy part. It’s getting the oil residue stain out that’s the hard part. I’ve never seen vinegar work.
