I decant but it's not really for aesthetics I see box I think full even when it's not so I always forget to restock, or I see box and my brain doesn't think "oh I should make pasta" it just thinks "man I have a lot of boxes but nothing to eat WHAT EAT?!". Its especially bad in the fridge I have to have clear Tupperware or jars because I see box...I see box and whatevers in container inevitably goes bad
@DaisyyVlogs01Ай бұрын
Hey when storing that many pastas I would be careful with wevels because they get into things like rice and pasta ect. So I would recommend buying them in bags or put bay leaves to repel them! That’s honestly the only reason why I would switch the packaging❤
@kettleisalwaysonАй бұрын
I use my canning jars for open pasta, rice etc as most of the brands I buy are bags which are not easily stored once open but I don't decant just for the sake of it.

I like that fact that you’re not a snob with certain brands and you buy a lot of Great Value items from Walmart. They are great products with literally great value! Because of this I’ll be a new subscriber 🥰. Most people are snobs and pretentious, I like that you’re realistic and you really seem like a nice person. For a while now, I’ve been thinking and trying to come up with a solution to organize my small panty. I live in an apartment and I have the deep cabinets and I’m petite so it’s challenging at times to get things out even when all my stuff is organized and stacked neat without any bins, containers, and dividers. I’ve thought about installing the pull out drawer but I’m not sure if Im willing to do all that extra work and that’s why I’m gonna have to rely on bins and layering. If you have suggestions for organizing deep cabinets, please help!
@HaleysCornerr3 ай бұрын
This is so interesting for you to notice! Honestly I’m so not a brand snob 😅 like pasta js PASTA! Haha In terms of your deep pantry I’d suggest any type of pull out bins kinda like the one I put under the kitchen sink! We used to have a super small narrow fridge and I put pull out acrylic containers which helped sooo much in storing all the way to the back of the fridge but still having easy access to it 🤗

hi haley! the reason why you’re supposed to store onions and potatoes separately is bc the onions give off a chemical that causes potatoes to spoil faster. i’ve stored them together in my cupboard and haven’t had much a problem, but putting them on different shelves would probably stop the chemical

YES to not decanting everything under the sun! Call me a lazy organizer, but when that box of whatever is empty, I’m happy to toss it & replace it with a new one! Yes, some things are easier decanted, but not everything! I basically organize like a grocery store, with like items together, neatly arranged on my pantry shelves. Your cupboards seem to have some extra vertical space, with the pegs to adjust height. I wonder if you could purchase additional pullouts? I LOVE pullouts, too! I’m short, so they make everything so much more accessible, especially the backs of deep shelves! 😊❤

My advice, when moving/unpacking, organize as you unpack. I know that's easier said then done. I was active duty AF for 10 years, we moved NINE times in those 10 years. I learned so many tricks from each move. Some of those moves I was able to purge as I packed. If you know anything about military moves, you don't always have the time to go through stuff before packing but if you can I highly recommend it. Love how you tackled one space at a time. Looks great!

Hello Haley! I found ur channel and honestly felt refreshing to see someone organise in a way that felt realistic and reliable to give inspiration for my own kitchen haha! On how onions and potatoes are stored the way I was taught was to place them into storage boxes! Preferably ones with holes on the bottom sides. It looks so great!! One thing that concerned me a little bit is all the chemicals under the sink, as that is a spot that is easily reachable by children and often they don''t know the difference between a brightly coloured drink and brightly coloured chemicals! I would recommend either putting them up in a higher cabinet or getting some sort of latch so that its less easily accessed!

Love everything that you have picked for your organization. I absolutely love the drawers. I am originally from Los Angeles, California, but now I live in Texas. We have always kept our root vegetables, onions and garlic just as you are storing yours. In a dark, dry place. The only thing I would suggest is to remove yours out of the plastic. They tend to go back quicker in the plastic because it causes them to sweat. I use butcher paper or brown paper towels to place under them. Thank you very much for taking us on this journey with you. 🙂
