How do I counter the bottom leg staple when I have someone in the butterfly half? I learned a lot from your videos and I use what you teach in all my rolls. The other day, my professor showed how to staple or pin the bottom leg to the floor with the outside foot. This is why I ask what to do when someone staples my bottom leg, not allowing me to lift him for the sweep.

Awesome! You can also knee lever/john wayne sweep with the exact same control if you're smashed in half guard without the butterfly hook

When you drive into him, will he normally post that leg? And if he does, what's the response to that? Try going the other way?
