Whitley Howard maybe its too much glue, you just need to apply a thin layer and then just a dot more on the ends so they can stick nicely on the inner and outer edge! 👍🏻

Do you apply it when their eyes are closed? That happens to me if their eyes are closed. So I ask them to keep their eyes open but look down. Hope this helps :)'
