I went once on a jungle camping trip with an army friend from the Philippines, and I did not fare well. I was bitten by tons of insects until I was ultimately bitten by a venomous snake, and they had to call in a helicopter to rescue me. The Philippines is very polarized; you can see developments like those in LA in Taguig City with luxury cars passing every second, and then you see slums and people living on the streets in Manila scavenging garbage bags for scraps. I think this is true for every country-there are good and bad parts. By the way, I live in London, and I would rather live in Manila than here. Just this month, I was pickpocketed, and five people broke into our house and stole every appliance and valuable they could find. Terrible situation here, it's becoming like Detroit...

@@CHICKENNUGGET69360 Oh wow jungle camping! I must say that there are quite a lot of insects here in the Philippines, but being bit by a venomous snake is not fun! Hopefully you are okay now. I can also relate to seeing the developments and slums, it’s very sad, but unfortunately does happen in every country…I also hope that you are okay after being pit pocketed and robbed!! That sounds scary!!!
