@@ElyRiff9380 right click when you use it at the tower in water hazard or press E on it when you have it mounted on the airboat. It recharges ammo 1 per half a sec. If you crouch and shoot it you can snipe with it and take down choopers, apcs , striders, gunships and anything a dropship carries. Absolutely broken.

I also used it to avoid the crash they got at the end of water hazard. Park at the entrance of the chopper arena. Find an area where you can see the chooper without triggering it. Unmount the pulse cannon. Couch and shoot at it untill its dead.

Overcharged appears to have some good ideas in store (dynamic shadows are a great addition without a doubt), and a lot of effort was clearly put into it, but perhaps this is a good example of too much of something. It could have just as well been called "Overthinked" like the Doom 3 mod, for one, because that's kinda what it borders on. I'm sure something fantastic can be done with it, but good luck spending the whole century trying to make that setup.

When you were saying that the sun was leaking in from the walls is because the shadow resolution was not right, you should be able to find the option for it in the advanced options menu and then in video. And you can also find some pretty cool post processing effects too. Just giving some info so if you're going to play more of this then you know what the problem with the sun was.

just so you know some of the enemies in this mod are from the HL1 betas which is why you guys didn't recognize them, and also the houndeye model was from an old cross-promotion valve did, which is why they have wings, in the cross=promotion they were like mounts or something and could fly.

gonna be honest, even though it was very buggy and janky (which can be forgiven, as this is the first update, no bug fixes) it was still pretty fun also i found out that the reason everything is disabled is because almost none of the settings start at what their defaults are supposed to be, and you can fix jt by pressing "reset" in advanced settings

So, that dinosaur was actually from a cancelled fan sequel to Opposing force. AKA Opposing Force 2. That creature was one of the original designs made for that mod / source game; it's good to see it being re-used here. edit: They're called the chargers, and also appear in the Opposing Force 2 demo.

My main issue I'm seeing with this mod is that you can't just drop random new enemy NPC's into combat encounters and parts of the game willy nilly or you're messing with the pacing of the game. Sure you can put houndeyes and bullsquids into the canals but you didn't bother making it so the Metropolice shoot at them or anything?

If you go to the scripts folder in the mod and find weapon_extinguisher then you can add a line under weapon type for ammo regeneration. Wayyy better than carrying a 0 ammo item for half a game cause you can't find ammo rip lol

The main problem with this mod is that they added way too much. Too many redundant and often low quality weapons, too many monsters that are either bad matches for the game or placed with no thought into the levels (or both), and WAY TOO MANY options, many of which either don't work correctly, or should just be enabled by default. Like why is the viewmodel bob disabled??? So many bad decisions, and many more decisions that were never made but should have. Definitely could have used more time in the oven before a so called full release. No doubt the state of it soured a lot of people's opinions on it, regardless of whether they improve it in the future.

I can see what the mod's trying to do, but god, it's so unbalanced. The bullsquids are a real pain in the ass, Buddha mode was needed to get through Water Hazard, and then I had to weaken the last helicopter from a distance before triggering the fight, so it died before it started the endless bombing run glitch and crashed the game again. EDIT: A late update on my thoughts. Had to use Buddha again for Ravenholm, even with the OP airboat gun, and then while dealing with aliens dumped randomly about the coastline maps, and elite combine showing up as ERRORs, the game crashed again, and now I'm done with playing this nonsense.

I really don't understand why this mod was as hyped as it was. It just looked from the get go like a standard power fantasy mod. But now that it's out we also know that it's not even a very good one.
