Like a lot of other people have said, the transition with the Strider was spectacular. I like how despite this being a comedy series, the Combine are still given great respect, still having the intimidating and oppressive feel and theming as in the actual game. Almost making it seem like the Combine truly are an unfathomably powerful and unstoppable multiversal force, capable of crushing all within their path, and even goofy cartoon universes like that of HLVRAI cannot resist this inevitable assimilation...

Bro, this series legit helped me through many long college nights. I laughed, I cried, I became a family guy, and they became my family. I really hope this at least captures the magic from the original but it will be hard to top it. I don’t expect them to, so take solace in that. It may not be better, but I would rather let the experience still be fun to be then set my hopes a little too high. Can’t wait to see it.

Analysis on the ending of HLVR:AI and possible theory on HLVR:AII: With the incoming 5-year anniversary of HLVR:AI's last act, I've decided to rewatch every Half-Life-related content available on Wayne's channel, starting with, of course, this! But after rewatching the series, I've noticed some ambiguous stuff laid out throughout the saga. Some of these are possibly just quick improv gags, but some could be valuable to deciphering what we are going to see in the next saga of this series. First off, I just want to point out some noteworthy stuff that I found interesting enough to point out. Bubby still owes Gordon 5 dollars (or 1 play coin); past Coomer only took 1 play coin in the portal transaction (which really doesn't matter since he ends up taking them all for the super player feature); and, lastly, Forzen, Darnold, and Benry are *not* dead. THEORY TIME?!?!?! So, what I want to fix is... what is Benry? Or more specifically, what's his actual job or nature? He isn't human (probably not from Xen either), that we know, and he has a bunch of reality-twisting powers that are not limited to things such as phasing through stuff, morphing into different stuff, the Black Mesa Sweet Voice, and *the Passport*. Weird stuff, right? But despite having kind of weak motives to do what he did, the G-Man and his employers did have an interest in seeing Gordon take him down and studying him. Where do I want to go with all this? Well, hear me out, but what if Benry acts, or acted as, a reality anchor against other beings? (Yeah, I'm being serious here; hear me out.) Benry never showed much intention to actually do... well... anything other than to spite Gordon and to game with the boys. He always showed the ability to be immortal and to shift reality, and even he admitted to not being human. Coincidentally, the only people with reality-bending abilities, such as the G-Man (sometimes Tommy?) and Gordon (the player), are the only ones to have serious beef with him before the final fight. That leaves me to believe that Benry had the ability to morph reality to his will, so much so as to either pose a real threat to others with the same ability or to disable (or at least interfere with) others' abilities. Further evidence of this is that, when Benry 'dies' and loses some of his powers, we see G-Man be able to shift reality to his will, shoot portals to wherever he needs to go, and be able to create made-up places beyond the confines of Half-Life. Same with the Gnome from the HL Alyx : Gnome saga, and possibly also with the Combine. And right when Benry lays eyes on Gordon, he never leaves his sight. This all leaves me to believe that, in HLVR:AII, the Combine and the G-Man are going to fight for control of the 'game' whilst the science team, with now Forzen and Alyx as new members, are going to try and shut it all down with the possible aid of Benry's powers. But hey, that's just a theory, a FIIILM THEORYYY!
