I think they're both fitting. In HL1, the music is primal and makes the Gonarch seem animalistic and brutal. In Black Mesa, the music makes the Gonarch seem more awe-inspiring and sinister. I love both of them.

I personally think in half life 3 they should make a Big Daddy fight. Also Big Daddy would look just like Gonarch but without the sac, and were you'd fight him is back in gonarch's lair by a portal in Xen you encounter in mid-game. After ariving back at Gonarch's lair you'll see Big Daddy looking at Gonarch's corpse and then he notices you! After realizing you're responsible he goes into rage and deals 25 damage per kick with its legs and 20 with it's acid. It also calls in grunts with its roar!
