Whenever I spin it around my thumb, It either flies away, or does like 3 laps around my thumb and when I trie to catch it I always don’t know what handle I’m about to grab, so I’m basically grabbing a random handle. is there anyway to fix this?

What's the name of the trick you do at 1:10 to close the knife from reverse grip position?

I think he is doing a Y2K variation called the "road to nowhere." When you do the thumb roll you pinch the handle allowing it to close on itself instead of stopping the back of the blade with your hand.
