05:42 Opponent thinks shuttle is coming fast but the time your stroke goes near the opponent, it's speed is already half compared to the time you hit it..the confused opponent can't do much but just keep it straight and is confused for the whole match whether a clear/drop/smash or half smsh is coming 5:44

brother please please upload neutralising forehand and backhand shots with pace tutorial (both when shuttle is along my shoulder and when shuttle is behind my shoulder). Also i had a doubt regarding the footwork for a medium paced shot. some times i see lin dan playing the medium paced slice then instead of throwing his left leg ahead of his right( for leftie player) some times his just jumps ahead in the position he was while playing the shot. is this anticipation for forehand lift or it is because by the time he has landed shuttle has already reached the player. PS: even i like to analyze footwork in detail pls help

The quality of this video is good, and the knowledge in here isn’t something I’ve seen before, but I think the algorithm would prefer quality over quantity, especially in your case (as in better editing & smoother transitions)

Yes and thats why i wouldnt agree with the comment because right now you are doing it right, you are taking advantage of your momentum. You provide quantity with fast new videos but they also contain good info so the content is quality. The only thing that is not quality is video editing and spelling, but thats NOT what your viewers are here for. So in my humble opinion i think youre doing great!

Well this is clever, in the first Lindan clip, the horizontal distance between his shoulder and the shuttle is minimal in a forehand rear court position, which usually indicates a cross smash/drop/slice about to happen, which is obviously also what his opponent think. But by slicing outward a bit he could still guide the shuttle straight. Since most shots except full power smash has a bit of slice to it, his racket head looks basically the same for all shots, yes we are taught to make our hitting actions look the same for all shots, but this delays the discrepancy between shots even more. Not only half smash but this really makes all the straight shots much safer as it hard to anticipate the distance so it is much harder to do a cross counter. Obviously you can go forward to anticipate it, but your reply is still unlikely to get a clear advantage while if the opponent chooses any other placements you're fucked, high risk low reward.
@badmintonjournal
@badmintonjournal 2 ай бұрын
@@randomname2299 I only disagree with last line, what stroke opponent can play that can get you in trouble? Put it cross? Hit a cross drive? If he puts a cross keep to that then it's just matter of leg strength If you can get it back? With practice you'll also get used to move that distance 2nd If he hits a cross drive, your only option is to intercept it( the one who is quick to get to the center after hitting this stroke won't have that problem ) This is a must must stroke for each advanced player
@randomname2299
@randomname2299 2 ай бұрын
@@badmintonjournal I think you misunderstand me, I mean that if the opponent anticipate the short distance he is unlikely to get that much advantage, and if he is wrong he would be put in much disadvantage, so it is basically high risk, low reward to anticipate this shot for him.

Can you explain why did you suggest slicing down the shuttle?
@badmintonjournal
@badmintonjournal 2 ай бұрын
Slicing down the shuttle 1.creates a steep angle 2.makes it hard to control for opponent, he can't push it to other corners due it 3.it reduces energy consumption 4. Your footwork improves because you're slicing it down when Shuttle is behind your body. You don't run too much 5.slicing down means you're pushing it slow so you're getting time to go back to centre before your opponent hits it 6.slicing it helps you create straight as well as cross angles which are steep and surprising 7. Opponent thinks shuttle is coming fast but the time shuttle comes, it's speed is already half of the time you hit..the confused opponent can't do much but just keep it straight and is confused for the whole match whether a clear/drop/smash or half smsh is coming

@@badmintonjournal Hey today i tried doing this technique but either I'm not sure if I'm doing it right or now. It seems to drain a lot of energy since im slicing the shuttle and the whole action when reaching the bottom left of your toe as your video mentioned is the cause of it. Also I'm not sure how to put the power so that it reaches mid court, it takes even more energy. The main issue is that I feel like I want to learn thing swing but its taking a toll on how much eneryg is needed and my right hand gets tired. Thanks

@@OvalHasAimBot most probably both This stroke requires a lot of practice and time to used to. Using this stroke in the beginning can make a lot tired as you're not efficient nor efficient.. If you don't give up and keep trying this stroke for over 3 4 months, you'll start understanding possible returns and with practice you'll be more efficient.. you might even loose many matches but in the long term you're learning highest quality strokes
