As someone who works at a zoo I can say that guests leaving litter in walk through enclosures is very accurate

I don't give compliments that often, but your voice is so awesome, so relax and pleasant! I'm going to follow this series from the start, I'm kinda jealous of your buildings! When I create a zoo, it's all plain Zoo Tycoon-like stuff, I can't create my own items (like sheds) yet. I'm very curious how your zoo is gonna turn out in the end! Keep up the good work!
@PlasticSwans Жыл бұрын
Thanks! It's one of those voices you either love it or hate it! Once you get a feel for the pieces, building does get a bit easier. I am sort of running out of ideas a bit at this stage, and relying on replication of sorts to see the zoo through to the end though at this stage

This has been my favourite planet zoo series’s since the start
@dr.archaeopteryx5512 Жыл бұрын
I feel like maybe putting a security guard into the walkthrough exhibit could stop the littering? Though obviously it wasn't the only problem, and knowing Planet Zoo guests I kinda expect it not to work anyway
@PlasticSwans Жыл бұрын
I really wish they'd introduce a limit or something on the number of guests that can pass through. They make a beeline for walkthrough exhibits, and that was ultimately the biggest problem with that enclosure
@Bobbytalkssport Жыл бұрын
I love this series! I would love to see a tour at the end of the whole thing!
@PlasticSwans Жыл бұрын
There'll definitely be an extended tour, as long as the frame rate isn't crazy!

I'm so excited for how this is coming along!!! I thought you were going super basic with everything at first but it's evolved into like...the best of both worlds, really. Simple elegance, I'd call it.
@PlasticSwans Жыл бұрын
Thank you! The super basic start, I was kind of just figuring out how franchise mode works since I really didn't have a lot of experience in it. Wasn't sure if it was essential to go very basic to make enough money - the blandness was grating on me though! Glad I got to find a middle ground

So, some species can go together even if they don't get enrichments from it! Like, the two tortoises or the peacocks + flamingos XD

Best planet zoo speci- i mean series in my very humble opinion! Was looking forward to this new episode all week, and it didn't disapoint in the slightest!So creative and inspiring to see you trying to fit every lil critter in! Keep up the good work!

loving this series so far! when i 1st found you i was shocked to see you only had 8k subscribers, i thought you would have much more! you inspired me to buy planet zoo and its been a bit hard but im getting the hang of it, not quite good at the habitats and custom buildings tho so at the end of the series it would be cool if you made a video explaining how to make good custom builds! :)
@PlasticSwans Жыл бұрын
Glad you found the channel! I haven't done a 'building basics' video in a while, so probably worth me pulling one together! It can take a while to get used to building stuff, I was exactly the same and struggled with understanding how the pieces work. At some point it just clicks and gets a bit easier!
@LazyLemon2988 Жыл бұрын
Here’s a suggestion you should put the hippopotamus and the red river hog together because both of them get an inter species
@PlasticSwans Жыл бұрын
That's the plan! I had some comments saying they really shouldn't live together realistically, but this is a franchise zoo and you do what you can to get the interspecies bonus up!
@ben_tiwwchnt Жыл бұрын
You could increase visitors in your zoo now seeing as they’re not crowding as much and you have a lot more space
@PlasticSwans Жыл бұрын
I've been ramping it up to 6k visitors whilst I'm not recording, but the frame rate is starting to struggle running the game and recording the game at 6k+ guests. If it gets truly bad I have another technical option I can try, but saving that as a last resort

@lasschesteven Жыл бұрын
If you're losing money because you can't have that many guests in, maybe you can run the zoo with more guests off camera? I know recording software itself does add extra strain on performance, so with that off you should be able to get a couple more guests in.
@PlasticSwans Жыл бұрын
That's the plan if the money does become an issue. Right now it's hovering around $20M so not something that's worrying me. I've spent about $1M over the last couple of episodes, so unless it's really dropping the $20M may last until it's complete

Poor lemurs, couldn’t love comfortable because some people could control themselves.
@PlasticSwans Жыл бұрын
I think rebalancing would be good for walkthrough enclosures, but not even sure that would be possible. My only take-away from this is possibly to add walkthroughs in the middle of the zoo, far away from any guest spawners so fewer people actually make it to them!

wouldn’t putting bins in the lemur habitat stop people littering?
@PlasticSwans Жыл бұрын
I'm sure they'd use the bins, but there's a new feature introduced a few updates ago where animals will raid bins for food...so I assumed the lemurs would just pick stuff out of them - can't win!

how are you coping with all the consistent offspring being born?!
@PlasticSwans Жыл бұрын
Not gonna lie, it's a bit of a nightmare! I play mostly with the game paused now unless I'm showing a build. Whilst the game is unpaused I have the notification tab permanently open, more so to catch when animals mature as that causes the most problems if it unbalances the social group. I do have the setting on that makes them age 5x slower, but still there's 112 species in the zoo now and they're all constantly reproducing 😂
