There aren’t people criticizing you for who you are, no one making you feel like you’re never enough to be holy and free when you’re dead. Here, you’re able to feel okay, feel the actual sensation of being with the Lord, instead of feeling so unloved by him. No matter how much you’ve guys “sinned”, he’s still going to keep you by his side and not take away his love from you. I hope you enjoy.

@@quantumblauthor7300 Of course!~ Catholicism means universal, so everyone is clearly welcome into the lords arm. :) No matter the orientation, gender, race, we should all feel like we were supposed to be in peace. Unfortunately most people didn’t really accept those kinds of people, or use religion as a weapon to put them in their place, especially if they didn’t do anything wrong. Which honestly, sometimes, makes me want to change religion. Usually because other people mistake me as one of them. Sometimes I even feel doubt that God would even accept me because of how sexuality is treated at my house. ^^ Then again, even I’m a child.

You’re quite wrong about him actually. but hey bud you do you ^^ Plus in this last statement I’d like to say that anyone can believe in him or anything else however they want peacefully, as long as it helps them and doesn't make them a cunt about everyone elses beliefs If it helps them function and even cope I will be more than happy for anyone if they’ve found that peace. :)

God loves you as you are. Just recieve Jesus, he's the one that works on our hearts and sin. The word of God says "All men have sinned and fallen short of the Glory of God"... "there's not a single person who is good"... God is our enabler. He loves you and wants you just as you are. You can never change yourself. "Without Christ nothing can ever be done"... and that's the truth. The freedom, stability, healing and love you experience in finding salvation is truly remarkable... None like it.

This is hands down the best "Christian" album I've ever heard. Quotes around Christian, because it doesn't even sound like it. Now, Not Yet transcends genres, isn't hastily crafted together to push a repetitive message, and has thoughtful, introspective lyrics. This might very well be my favorite album of all time. Period. Welcome to beautiful Now, Not Yet. ]\[

Song Theory it’s not a Christian album
@SongTheory5 жыл бұрын
@@jodahobnob1973 It's definitely a Christian album. And that's what's so great about it. Most people won't realize unless they look hard enough. One of the final lines of this song is "Humanity is not alone when Jesus Christ sits on the throne." "My dirt transformed within a breath, before I took a single step" is a reference to the creation of man in Genesis. "I'm looking forward to the day when life can grow without decay" is a reference to heaven. There's plenty of other Christian quotes to find if you look through the album's lyrics, and there several direct references to God.

I don't think its fair to call this a "christian album" I think its just a regular album made by christian people. obviously god will be a large inspirational factor to all this bands music. out of the 12 songs on this album, this is really the only song that can be related to their religion from a reasonable viewing of the lyrics. there are obviously hints to Christianity sprinkled around the album. but like I said before. of course that's the case *because* their Christians, their going to write about their beliefs in any context they want. this album is a bundle of the bands creativeness with many themes and beliefs, just calling it a "Christian" album doesn't serve justice to every other topic they touched upon. as a Christian myself I agree with everything else you said though! its really beautiful that they shared Jesus in such an artistic way. this is defiantly one of my favorite albums for sure.

My whole problem with christians (I am one by the way) is so often we sacrifice creativity and excellence to shove christ in people's faces as if thats going to help make them believe. Except that thats the opposite of what we are told to do and it annoys me so much.

I am so glad to have listened to this whole album. I enjoyed every song from it. The lyricism especially blew my mind away. I listened to this song last, because of its length being the longest among the other songs. To hear such explicit profession of Christian faith surprised me, because as a Christian myself, I admit that I don't really listen to much Christian music. And to hear those affirming lyrics made me so, so happy (though I'm not sure why). I already speculated that the songs were about religion, and for that to be confirmed was cool. Religion aside, I was so amazed by the album. Thanks, half•alive, for helping me forget about my cough for a while. I'm definitely going to play these songs again from time to time.

Look inside of me and see that I am not afraid To walk inside the void like a kid inside a cave Discovering the patterns of my soul and where it's placed I've been mapping many caverns but it still feels like a maze I know I'm made of clay that's worn Blighted by imperfect form But I will trust the artist molding me I am creation, both haunted and holy Made in glory Even the depths of the night cannot blind me When You guide me Creature only Look inside my heart and find a perilous ravine Carved within the beauty, the darkness in between Standing in the balance of complete and incomplete I identify the echo of what is and what will be I know I'm made of clay that's worn Blighted by imperfect form But I will trust the artist molding me In a room that's growing dim Illuminated from within The pull of tension's empathy I am creation, both haunted and holy Made in glory Even the depths of the night cannot blind me When You guide me, oh I am creation, both haunted and holy Made in glory Even the depths of the night cannot blind 'Cause what comes Creature only Creature only (Creature only) Growing through the creature here I'm trying to see when it's unclear Hidden in the space between Hero and the enemy Early days and sleepless nights Death and resurrection, life My body is a sacred note Sung between the flesh and hope My dirt transformed within a breath Before I took a single step I'm looking forward to the day When life can grow without decay Humanity is not alone When Jesus Christ sits on the throne These hidden mirrors expose the mess The selfish turns to selflessness Haunted by a darker side Transcends to walking in the light And slowly I'm recovering The beauty of discovery I mean, that amount of glory Does sound reasonably glorious

The thing I've been looking at for a few years now "A Secret" (sorry makes me smile) is that my history major, minors in philosophy and English Lit and a very very sub in Linguistics... this same "story" has been told for the entire human race. Every culture has to greater or lesser degrees held the altruistic spirit to the highest of our morals, yes of course there have been brief exceptions but when you... go nuts and read EVERYTHING, from every continent and era, you find that there's this painful legal morality that's been created to protect the innocent,. And also this deep spiritual reality that's designed to teach us about love or God or divinity. And neither of those are religion, religion is more like the stuff we're taught as children to begin our understanding of the world we live in. Fear of punishment, promise of reward, so you learn respect for protecting yourself and respecting others. We're told "this is how you please God," but it never has much love in it, only rules, often odd ones. Rules that hopefully you learned a long time ago, thanks to your parents and the natural world, of how to respect others, and what's good and what's wrong. What is self, and what is love. You don't need to be religious, the only thing you need is to be as sincere and honest with yourself and the entire world around you as you know it right this moment, with the hopeful open question as to where you can go from there.

A lot of people are saying it’s odd they are enjoying this song about when there normally uncomfortable with Christianity or are of a different religion - But that’s what I think makes this song great , yes the writer is describing it through a Jesus loving lense but the song and most of the lyrics are showing a universal experience and a feeling we all innately share . As in this song fits well with my beliefs and they are pretty secular.

Im agnostic and pantheistic, i dont know if god exists but I believe in nature and the universe itself to be godly in its existance alone. I dont believe god is a being, rather everything at once and I honestly have Christian related religious trauma from past experiences and half alive's music still seems to relate to my own religious...ness and spirituality even if they are a Christian band. It makes me feel connected to those of differing religions (especially Christianity) when id previously felt so detached and uncomfortable. This song especially resonates with me about my perspective of the universe. Edit: just had a mini-breakdown after an argument with a friend and for some reason was drawn back to this song and all i can say is i feel... not alone right now, for the first time in... forever. I FEEL something caring. Thats the best way i can put it. I've never felt this before and idk if this is an actual meaningful... sign? Or if im just clinging to something out of loneliness. Perhaps nature is more sentient than i previously believed? I dunno, just that something, perhaps the universe itself, is here for me right now.

The universe is always here with us, we just can't feel it always. It's like that feeling of magic you get when you're a child. You feel it and it lights up your soul and it makes you warm and comfortable and it just doesn't want you to be sad. The one thing I've always hated growing up was losing that feeling of magic, but it really never goes away. It just hides in the little things and waits patiently with the beauty of the universe. Personally, I've never been set on one religion but I've seen too much evidence that suggests that there is something amazing out there. I've read it, I've seen it, I've heard it. Maybe it's one god, or two, or a whole group. Or maybe the planet is alive and Mother Earth just wants us happy. Or maybe everything has a soul and it all just wants us to be okay. Either way, I get what you're feeling. That's why I hold this one song close to my heart. Because it evokes these feelings that I don't know how to explain. But it beautiful.
