honestly, it seems like so much of the improvement has been confidence. like, if you watch any of his earlier live performances you can tell the exact moments that he forgets he's in front of an audience and all that tension is gone. i'm so glad he's getting more confident.

I love how much screen time everyone got rather than just the main singer like in most music videos these days it gives a sense of community which is the complete opposite of the original video. Also how they keep the lighting and choreography similar to the original. I can't tell which one I like more!
@GotInterest4 жыл бұрын
This is, instrumentally, SUCH a great version of the song. I just wish they had gone back and rerecorded Josh's vocals. It sounds like he is about to lose his voice. It's a shame because his vocals are REALLY strong on the original version. And when you have such talented back up singers it really makes the strain and missed notes on his part stand out. I hope they at some point, rerecord his part with his vocal chords rested up and loop that over the instrumentals.

pretty sure it’s a stylistic choice throughout the first half of the song it sounds like a struggle but that’s in line with the “plot” and he’s done it in other performances. Second half is flawless

Its also really hard to pay attention to your voice when there is so much background sound. Thats why he kinda misses some notes.
