When Em and Dre signed 50 Ja & Gotti went around saying Em and Dre better not let 50 release any diss tracks. Em and Dre sat 50 down and told him not to, until Ja went around, doing a promo run about how he stabbed 50. Then Em and Dre pretty much took the muzzle off 50 and he unleashed on Ja, Murda and Supreme. Then Ja started going after Em as well, thinking he was bigger coz of all the hits he was generating at the time. NOT realising Em CAME from the battle rap scene...

That Ja rule line in the beginning is from a song called “loose change”. He dissed 50 cent Eminem and Dr. Dre. Eminem used that to begin this song and which is why during the 2nd chorus you hear Eminem in the background saying to never mention his daughter again. Also that’s why in this song it was mentioned “you put the E before the D”.

From what I understand from how Em talks about it in Toy Soldiers, another amazing song from Em, Ja and Em got into because Ja and Murder Inc were going at 50 Cent and when Eminem signed 50 he inherited the beef along with it and they went at each other hard for a while. 50 is still going at it and Em even mentions him pretty often. I think 50 bought like the first 5 rows or something of Ja Rule's return concert so they'd be empty lol he is so petty. Oh you think this was bad. Benzino went in at Halie again on his song "Die Another Day" where he said: Tell Hailie it ain’t safe no more (nah) Daddy better watch yo' back at the candy store We fucked up, resort to plan B Fuck around she end up like JonBenét Ramsey… If you don't know, JonBenet Ramsey was a little girl in 1990 that was killed violently, and... that gave us the absolute slaughter fest that was "Go to Sleep" by Eminem, a song you all should react to if you haven't heard it. It is savage and I believe it was the last song in the beef. Also on the soundtrack for the movie Cradle 2 the Grave so... yeah, Em murdered someone on a soundtrack XD.

What made ja rule say Hailie’s name in a song was the track go to sleep ever since Em & Dre Signed 50 Ja was constantly dissing Eminem on magazine & radio interviews Eminem didn’t even bother with Ja because he was already beefing with Benzino at that time already Eminem got fed up with Ja, so on February 18th 2003 Em released go to sleep dissing Benzino & giving a warning shot to Ja telling him he’ll get it to if he keeps dissing him then Ja heard it & didn’t liked that Eminem said his name in a song so Ja responded with two song releasing a warriors words on March 31st 2003 & loose change on April 4th 2003 then Eminem responded with hail mary on April 11th 2003

the halie comment wasn't the start of the beef but it sure did escalate it. the beef was originally started between ja rule and 50 cent a few years before all of this stuff. 50 and ja had jumped each other I think ja stabbed 50 and his friend. Eminem got involved later because he signed 50 to his label. there are so many songs from this beef you should listen to invasions part 1 2 and 3 by em next.
