I wonder how a high quality RC would fair. All of these look a little bit or a lot low end at first glance, I used to race RCs at many different tracks. The monster truck looks to be the highest quality one though

The entry level hobby grade RC Monster Trucks are really quite impressive. You’ll pay 2-5 times more than the toy RC cars you can get at a big box retail. But they’re faster, the body is just a plastic shell that you can replace, and it’s easy to order parts to fix it, and good learning experience. A few years ago I built a RC Tugboat kit and all my DIY upgrades cost more than the kit and electronics.
