Was all set on sealey but just purchased this mainly for the 3yr warranty. No hassle with returning online etc plus there open everyday. Its a no brainer for the diy types.

Been using mine for year now and it’s been great - noticed today tho lots of oil all over the springs underneath , so I guess seals have gone ?

Great video. Is the rubber pad removable from the saddle, as I have my own vehicle specific pad I'd like to use instead?

Sadly No.. It Would Be Great If It Did👍🏻

Halfords are such tight gits for not giving a magnetic tray

96 quid for that is a rip off, check out the Sealey low entry 2 ton jack, the rocket lift one which goes up to full height in 6 pumps. You can get them under 120, and for only an extra 20 quid compared to halfords it is miles better, and from a reputable brand.

Yo mean this: www.sealey.co.uk/product/5637173263/trolley-jack-25tonne-low-entry ?? It doesnt have the foot jack that this one has.

@@Daedalus_UK 0:16 just look at the box, it clearly says 2 tonne. Don't know where ur getting 3 tonne from...as for design tolerances, you can't just state that it has a 100% failure tolerance, all manufacturers design to different tolerances. Things aren't as over engineered as you think, im a Mechanical Engineer i design things all the time, run simulations on components, and often for failure tolerances its very low maybe 10% depending on the application, the materials, the budget, the time, the weight, the regulations, specifications, lots of factors. So you can't just jump in and say "oh well this 2 tonne Jack can probably do 4 tonnes cos they have double the failure point" because you have no idea the engineering behind it.

@@kevinwells768 that's practically a gimmick, you won't find any mechanic or engineer out there looking or using a jack with a foot pump 🤷♂️ there's a reason its sold under the halfords name and not a tool manufacturer, its aimed at a DIYer who doesn't know anything about the product so they shop around looking for the product with the most features and gimmicks for the cheapest price
