I never really understood why they didn't let Howard sing many other tunes in TT: his voice is as good as Gary's or Robbie's or Mark's, though these three guys made it up to singing most of the band's songs... Back then, I could never guess Robbie would become such a superstar. He was 'a singer in TT', not their leader (Gary seemed to be closer to being that), and he wasn't even the prettiest among them, I do remember girls screaming for Mark, Howard or Jason mostly... Robbie used to play the part of the witty one, the joker, the funny guy, as if he couldn't be as sexy as the others (Gary shared this 'problem'), so all we males got was his talented vocal skills, just the same as Gary, though Gary was also the band's main songwriter and was clearly heading towards a successful solo career... I personally thought that Gary would bear TT's flame going solo, Mark-Howard-Jason would go on acting or something related to their looks, and I really thought Robbie would try and follow Gary's footsteps, yet possibly not succeding in doing so. I was proven completely wrong. Gary disappeared after two songs, Robbie penned 'Angels' and totally overshadowed anything related to TT, and that's how it went like.

@@LAYENSTANLEY No doubt about his singing. No doubt about his eccentric personality, though in Take That that meant that he was more like 'the clown in the band' rather than the super-sexy star... So that's what I mean when I say he was definitely the less 'arousing' member in the band along with Gary. The two of them made the music, so people said back then, then Mark, Howard and Jason broke the girls's hearts. I'm not saying no girl would've liked to get in touch with him at all... he was one of them, he'd been picked up for certain reasons of course, but as far as I can recall Mark, Howard and Jason were more popular among girls.

@weymouthfalco Robbie Williams.worlds best entertainer.at that time he couldnt be at the tour because he already sold a year ago before the tt reunion about 3 million tickets for his WORLDWIDE tour..and not his UK tour like tt.and please dont tell me that rw uses tt to revise his career.the reunion was planned before robbies solo comeback in 2009 but he had contract with EMI.and also without robbie tt wouldnt do a single gig outside of the uk.they need to think solo megastar robbie for that.
