Halftime: El Matador! Ohio State vs. Western Kentucky 9/16/23

Join The Ohio State University Marching Band as they present “El Matador!” Featuring songs “Malagueña” “The Tiger of San Pedro” “Spain” and "Spanish Fantasy, Part 4". The show was performed on Sept. 16, 2023 during halftime of the Ohio State football team’s game against Western Kentucky.

Wow. Just wow. This is the most sophisticated, hardest, and well choreographed college half time performance of all time. As a Michigan Alumni, hats off to the TBDBITL! Love the Alfred Reed El Camino Real reference as the final number. Wait, did I just see the Drum Major do a standing back tuck?!

I’m a GLHS quad player so I went to skull session and came to the game as well (first osu game) and man you guys inspired me. Already knew I wanted to be in I-row but now it’s even more. Hope to be on the field with you in 2 years 🙏

Wow, what a show this week! My high school actually had Malagueña as our closer and Tiger of San Pedro as our production piece my freshman year, and they were very similar arrangements to this show. Hearing this show brings back a lot of memories for me. Awesome!

Wow and OMG. The music is great , but the choreography was stunning. It looks like it took a year of rehearsals, and that is not counting the amazing drum major's gymnastics. We should be so glad that "we" are not sitting at ground level. Wow again and many thanks.

I appreciate the difficulty level and talent, but glorifying bullfinding shouldn't be happening in 2023. Amazing team, I just can't help but wonder if there were no other possible drills to choose from. I always look to you guys, this really made me sad. Love the other formations though. Best college band in the country!
