Hey, plenty of time to learn more. The world of much is huge, but classical is a fantastic place to start. Don't let anyone pick on you for what you enjoy, music is entirely a matter of taste, and this stuff has been around for a lot longer than the stuff the other kids think they are supposed to like. But there is do much more, that is the best thing about music. From all over the world, various traditional music, for music, chanting, choral music (a cappella choral is fantastic, and the anything Orthodox is good). But even if you just stick with classical you would probably take a long time before you ran out of stuff to discover. And then you listen to it all again!

@@leoniegureghian4015 It is. I did it in 2018, and I attended two grand waltz balls in Vienna: the Ärzteball (Medical Professional's Ball) and the Jägerball (Hunter's Ball). You really do waltz until dawn, and you get to dance the Fledermaus Quadrille and the Galopp in the Festsaal of the Hofburg at midnight (Jägerball) and at 3:00am (Ärzteball; there's a dry-run upstairs at midnight). Right before the ball ends and the dancefloor in the Festsaal thins out a bit, you dance to the last Viennese Waltz of the evening, "Blue Danube", you dance Polka to, "Radetzky March", and the final dance is to a down tempo waltz, "Brüderlein Fein". With a gray dawn breaking, you then exit that beautiful palace onto the Heldenplatz and a waiting taxi. I was in Heaven!

When we shopped for a house for our family 50 years ago it was with the condition that the living room had to be big enough for waltzing: so each house we visited had us waltzing. The realtors were all bemused. We finally found an old house in need of much repair that we could just afford: but after a couple years we got it functional and began our New Year's Ball. Admittedly it is recorded music, but the waltz has always been soul music for us. We continued every year until interrupted by Covid, but we will eventually be back and dancing, with the third generation. Friends and relatives come and go, but the waltz just spins on and on. And even if you are alone in your living room, you can waltz. It is a simple step, and once you do it, you can play with it forever, like the spinning of a galaxy.

Escucho está música viendo las imágenes, e inmediatamente me transportó al centro de una de estas salas, veo y siento el calor de los candelabros, bellísimos tapices, muebles y cortinas. Doy vueltas y vueltas envuelta en encajes, crinolinas, listones y flores, me hundo en un laberinto de giros y giros hasta una vida anterior justo en esa época. La cabeza me duele de felicidad y entonces regreso a mi vida en la actualidad, despierto de mi sueño. Pero no me siento triste, me siento feliz. Here is a factoid. Did you ever wonder why some of the early Bugs Bunny and Company cartoons had classical music? The producers wanted to introduce kids to classical tunes and this was there way to do it. Remember Bugs Bunny as "The Barber of Seville"? One other had "Ride of the Valyries" with Bugs and Elmer Fudd.

Amo toda la música clásica, no soy bailarina o valletista, soñé serlo pero no pudimos fuimos muy pobres. Ahora ya mayor quiero aprender a tocar violín... Riascoltando questi splendidi brani e vedendo in tv ogni anno i Concerti di Capodanno da Venezia e Vienna mi emoziono molto ripensando ai pranzi familiari anche con mio nonno paterno Attilio clhe andavamo io e mio padre a prenderlo in corso Sicilia dove abitava per portarlo in piazza Cattaneo.Parlo di cinquant'anni fa ma li ricordo volentieri!❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
